Some projects are built by developers.
Others are rebuilt by the people who refuse to let them die.
This is the story of $WASTED.
It started with a legendary GTA meme and a vision that had the potential to become something much bigger.
The project reached approximately $2M market cap. But then, the original developer abandoned it and rugged the community.
For most projects, that would have been the end of the road.
But $WASTED wasn’t ready to die.
THE COMMUNITY REFUSED TO GIVE UP.
Instead of walking away, people stepped forward and decided to fight for what was left.
One of the first was @DopamineFeenFr1.
He took action, paid for a 12-hour DEX boost and sent a clear message:
The developer might have abandoned this project, but the community wasn’t going anywhere.
That single move helped spark something bigger.
Then @DylanBrooksCTO officially stepped up to lead the Community Takeover.
And he didn’t just talk about making things happen.
He delivered.
* Paid for the DEX.
* Started organizing and uniting the community.
* Pushed visibility and coordinated raids.
* Launched community giveaways.
* Continued communicating and showing up.
No empty promises. Just action, consistency and execution.
BUT THE STORY DIDN’T STOP THERE.
The CTO applied for creator fees, with a vision to redirect those fees towards supporting $WASTED through live buybacks, boosts, burns and community giveaways.
The application was rejected.
Was that the end?
Absolutely not.
Instead of giving up, the community went back to work.
The mission is still to demonstrate genuine activity, build momentum and earn recognition from Pump.fun for the CTO.
Because trust isn’t built by asking people to believe in you.
Trust is built by giving people reasons to believe.
And that’s exactly what this community is working towards.
WHY $WASTED IS DIFFERENT
