📸 Mounds, aeolian ripples and dust devil tracks in Argyre Planitia on #Mars at 318.4°E -46.3°N. This small-scale Chaos-like terrain covered by dust devil tracks is simply captivating. What do you think ? #UniBern #ExoMars #ESA #Roscosmos #dustdeviltracks #chaoticterrain

Just me, or does this impact crater look like a tree stump with characteristic rings?! Worlds apart, but just as tree rings provide snapshots of Earth’s past climate, the patterns inside this ice-rich crater reveal details of Mars history #ExploreFarther 📷esa.int/ESA_Multimedia/Image…

This is the interior of an impact crater filled with deposits thought to be water-ice rich. The presence of polygonal patterns of fractures, probably due to seasonal thermal processes, is a further indication of the ice-rich nature of these deposits. #ESA #UniBern #Roscosmos

Easternmost part of Noctis Labyrinthus on #Mars at 265.8°E -8.70°N. This region has a network of grabens formed by extensional tectonics. If you look closely, some boulders rolled down the steep wall and left tracks behind. How many can you 👀 ? #UniBern #ExoMars #ESA #Roscosmos

Ice-filled crater in the Martian polar region of Vastitas Borealis. Water ice may exist for longer periods on north facing slopes, which receive fewer hours of sunlight on average throughout the year. #ESA #UniBern #Mars #ExoMars #Roscosmos

New image from #Mars! Part of the Ritchey impact crater, including its central uplift raised from depth during the impact process itself, and a variety of different textures and features within! #ExploreFarther 📷 esa.int/ESA_Multimedia/Image… @ExoMars_CaSSIS

📸Ritchey Crater (309.06°E, 28.13°S) has exposed bedrock, variety of impactites and post-impact materials. RGB images show what you would see but my filters (NIR-RED-PAN-BLU) help differentiate various materials. Can you 👀 the differences ? #Mars #UniBern #ExoMars #ESA #Roscomos
A dramatic evening image of a 6-km diameter crater in the northern plains of Mars, where half the crater is in shadow. The path taken by crater's ejecta can be clearly seen in the form of grooves radiating away from the crater's centre. #ESA #UniBern #Mars #ExoMars #Roscosmos
