The Palestinians living in the West Bank are eligible to vote in Palestinian Authority elections but they have not had an opportunity to exercise that right in a national election for more than 20 years. The ruling party has refused to set new election dates. Mahmoud Abbas postponed Palestinian parliamentary elections that had been scheduled for this coming November 28. The new announced date is September 11, 2027, with presidential elections also scheduled for that day. We’ll have to wait to see if it is another mirage.

Muslim women voting in today's election in Israel. They have the democratic rights, religious freedoms and gender equality that their counterparts in every other Middle East state can only dream about.

Show this to the next person who talks about apartheid in Israel. The country’s two Arab parties have won a record number of seats in the Knesset and that could make them “kingmakers” in any new coalition. I’d wager that most pro-Palestine activists don’t even realize that more than a million Arab Israelis are eligible to vote and that they have their own parties.

These evil fucking psychopaths are blaming Muslim terrorist attacks on the "manosphere"?
A WIRED report finds the "Muslim manosphere" going mainstream: influencers invoking Allah's authority to tell women how to dress, behave, and speak, and followers bombarding women's inboxes with unsolicited messages. @Ayaan on what happens when male resentment finds religious authority: URL: ayaan.restoringthewest.com/i… #RestoringTheWest #Manosphere #Women

Don't forget, there is another 500,000 - 650,000 votes to count from IDF soldiers. So, a lot can still change, including possibly some of the smaller (soldier-centric) parties getting over threshold.

Holocaust survivor and writer Simon Wiesenthal announces that he is retiring after a 60-year career hunting Nazis. He is now 92 years old and will be 93 next month. The last Nazi he captured was Julius Veil, who was convicted this year of shooting seven Jewish prisoners. “I have survived them all,” says Wiesenthal in a press statement. “If there are any left, they’d be too old and weak to stand trial today. My work is done.”

The concept of Ben Shapiro hiring a barely-literate token black woman and having to personally write all her blexit articles only for her to go death con 3 on the Jews like the Golem of Prague... it's too much content...
For the record, I never authored even one opinion piece for the Daily Wire. You guys ghostwrote all of them and then slapped my name on it as the author for clicks. Good luck finding the intern (or AI system?) you’re upset with. @CommunityNotes

Addiction is complicated and hard, but telling people they aren't accountable for their own choices in life because they have a "disease" they can't control doesn't help at all xitter.cf/BBCNewsnight/status/21…
Matthew Perry’s sister, Mia Perry Bowick, has told a new documentary about her brother’s life that his 2013 #Newsnight debate with Peter Hitchens was a “huge moment” in his decision to speak publicly about addiction and “show himself”. You can watch some of the debate here.

There was a time when politicians were treated like respectable public servants, almost demigod figures in some circles who demanded our deference. Then X came along and became the great equalizer. They talk to us, we talk back, and once they open their mouths, it’s obvious they’re no better in reasoning, intellect, morality, or charisma than the average person scrolling past them. They’re average people who won popularity contests for seats inside institutions of coercion. And it is only that coercion that allows their mediocrity to shape the society the rest of us live under. But if there’s anything I’ve realized, it’s that Michael Malice was right. We are ruled by very unimpressive people.

It was never about replacing Bibi or his cabinet. They just hate Israel. So please stop trying to please the Hamas caucus in Washington DC.
Regardless of which war criminal becomes prime minister, Palestinians living under Israeli apartheid will continue to face genocide, land theft, and erasure. We cannot accept lies, excuses, or half-measures from our leaders. We must impose a full arms embargo and sanctions until Palestine is free.

During a big storm a few years ago a lot of the power was cut off by Tonga. My friends business donated two dozen generators to help all the locals. He went into the local villages a week later and saw no one had power still. Rang the everyone at the company to ask why no one received the generators, the confirmed they definitely delivered them. Later that night he saw there was one house that had a power and was throwing a party so he went and saw the village leader was running one and the remaining two dozen just piled in a corner cause he couldn’t be assed passing them out

Before teaching Africans about pigs, need to teach your uncle's group about some fundamental economic principles. I guess their heart was in the right place. There are some definite racial and cultural tendencies but I think the biggest issue was basic tragedy of the commons. The pigs were a shared public resource so everyone was incentivized to get as much pig as possible at the earliest possible chance. Were the pigs privately owned, there would have been a better chance the pigs were conserved, however, someone else would simply steal and eat the pigs as there is not sufficient law and order to protect private property. Furthermore wealth storage is a risky proposition there and there isn't a rich diverse market to barter in so why would you ever accumulate wealth? There are no big things to buy and land is probably all squatted on anyway. You fill your belly and feast it up and worry about tomorrow tomorrow.

My dad was part of these missions and watched it all fail. They taught Haitians to farm, but the second they left the tore it up. Raising your own food, the most basic of survival instincts.. they couldn’t even do that.

My friend spent 3 years in the Peace Corp. culminating in a 6’ diameter water well for the locals who had to carry buckets on their heads to get water. She anticipated the locals would celebrate and love her and her team. They ignored the well and continued to use buckets. Turns out the walk was time for the women to be away from the men and talk freely… And the men preferred the time no women were around… she wasted 6 months of her life digging that well…
