Some tips (that works for me o) for bakers: 1. Disinfect/Clean your boards with Vinegar. 2. When stacking, glue the first cake layer with Glucose or Melted Chocolate. This helps create a firm base on the board. 3. Remember to level/trim the top of your cakes/domes and dowel tall cakes o, dowel (This helps steady your cakes during delivery) 4. When working with colors, sandwich with plain cream. Gives a finer taste. 5. To achieve deeper and non bitter colors faster, add cocoa powder. (Especially Red and Black) 6. For deep colors (Black, Red, Gold, Silver etc), cover completely with with your cream before going over with the additional color. 6. If you struggle to get Red, try Redvelvet Powder/Peach Color. 7. If you can’t gauge your oven, try steam baking and get an oven thermother (for us without industrial ovens yet) 8. Use room temperature ingredients for better cake volume. 9. For a cleaner finish with your calligraphy, write with white cream before going over with colors (this way, it’s easier to clean when there’s a mistake and your writeup won’t shift) 10. If you’re a pro glove user, remember to always change to avoid cross contamination.🌚 11. Declutter your space before taking pictures and get your angles and lighting right. 12. Faux balls are beautiful but may make or mar your cakes if not properly placed or on the right cake height, you can always guide your clients with designs. Enjoyed this?
