Total driving over the weekend. My first long road trip in an EV. Learned a lot about it. Honestly, a 200ish mile range battery is pretty manageable.

I’m also driving a pretty inefficient EV by today’s standards (2.5 miles per kw) so a more efficient EV can be more than 1/4 less than what I paid in electricity costs. Plus DC fast charging costs a lot more than home charging usually.

Though, for road trip, I will still say a hybrid will be comparable to what I paid or even better. Plus the time savings filling up. The real savings in an EV is charging at home if utility rates are favorable and not worrying about filling up at gas stations on regular commutes.
