I don't know which feels worse: YouTubers getting strikes for mentioning me or the fact we have to acquiesce to censorship to stay platformed
I don't know how to say this again but... just after we managed to remove the strike on the Daily Zentreya Channel due to a link from Melody's, now we get another (still first), thought it was a normal age restricted, but became first strike from the clip itself. (1/3)

This show has always had a weird mixed messaging about ‘being true to yourself’ but being true to yourself always means conformity. Like, your true self is to conform, and that’s treated as correct within the framework of the show.

i hate how there’s still countries living in 1893. it cannot possibly be that serious

the wildest thing I've yet to see people discuss about this show, which explicitly frames itself as giving life lessons to young girls, is that the show ends with maya's college-aged love interest telling her he'll wait for her to be old enough to date

Why did they always shit on anyone for being different. They’re always “Riley you’re YOU don’t pretend to be someone you’re not!!” But all she did was try a new way to express herself
This show was a mess

I've never seen this show WHAT!? Lmao 1. No one is saying "Harajuku" right and it's making me crazy.
2. They're pretending it's about appropriation when it's really about keeping an American conservative standard of fashion.
Fundamentally misunderstands on every level.

That’s his daughter in the show. Apparently this is a lesson in cultural appropriation; but they chose the absolute worst culture treat that way because Japanese don’t care.

girl meets world is so fascinating bc wasnt boy meets world pretty progressive for its time? and then its sequel is just genuine conservative propaganda 😭

Clearly this is supposed to be about cultural appropriate but deciding to pick harajuku is crazy bc it’s a fully a style. I get they didn’t want to be extremely offensive but this just makes them come off as tone deaf

Didn't have time to post this these past few days, but a few days ago my application for my legal change of name and birth sex finally got finalised
And in celebration, completely unprompted, @darkvioletcloud drew some commemorative artwork.
