We are all imperfect. We all have ideals that are impossible to perfectly follow. I care about the environment but I'm not going to ruin my life trying every single possible thing to have 0 impact. That is unreasonably draining. I care about multiple charitable causes but I can't just donate all the money I earn. This is life, and it doesn't make the words we say "performative".

I work as a Senior Data Scientist, it's a hybrid job though (3-4 days WFH each week) and thus I specifically know that these are my most productive days, and it's also cheaper & less draining. He's just out of touch. Attacking me doesn't change that.
