Georgia Inmates Sentenced in Police‑Impersonation Jury‑Duty Call Scheme ow.ly/r0Mv50ZYwrJ Protect yourself from Jury Duty Scams: 🔷Always be suspicious of unsolicited phone calls. 🔷Never give money or personal information to someone with whom you don’t have ties and did not initiate contact. 🔷Trust your instincts: if an unknown caller pressures you, or says things that don’t sound right, hang up. 🔷If concerns remain about the caller’s claims, verify the information with the appropriate law enforcement agency or court officials. Anyone receiving a jury duty/failure to appear scam phone call should report it, with a description of the caller and any available caller ID information, to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at ow.ly/RUg050ZYwrK.

If your company has hired remote IT workers, there's a chance your business helped fund the North Korean regime's ballistic missiles program. Thousands of North Korean-trained IT workers are posing as legitimate remote employees by using stolen identities to dupe companies into hiring them. The millions of dollars they have earned from unwitting businesses are funneled back to the North Korean government. The scheme relies on a network of facilitators – including Americans – who are paid to appear on camera, participate in job interviews, verify fraudulent identities, and connect the company's laptops to their home internet so it looks as if the remote workers are based in the U.S. More here: ic3.gov/PSA/2026/PSA26…

Nearly 15 years later, a cold case has a breakthrough. In April, FBI Atlanta arrested former DeKalb County Police Sgt. Cameron Livsey on federal charges involving child sexual abuse material. A routine cheek swab led to a CODIS match linking him to DNA evidence from the 2011 sexual assault of two teenagers. This case highlights the power of CODIS—and our commitment to working with local partners to hold offenders accountable, no matter how old the case. ow.ly/zSB050ZVxcF

A death threat against a Georgia congressman led investigators to Buffalo, where #FBI Buffalo assisted our Georgia law enforcement partners in making an arrest. On Friday, the Butts County Sheriff and his deputies traveled from Georgia to Buffalo and worked side by side with our FBI special agents and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to personally take the suspect into custody for allegedly threatening to kill U.S. Congressman Mike Collins and his son-in-law. “State lines don’t protect those who threaten violence, and they do not stop the FBI and our law enforcement partners from pursuing them,” said FBI Buffalo Special Agent-in-Charge Allen D. Davis II. “Strong law enforcement partnerships are critical to our mission.” This is partnership in action. By working together across jurisdictions, the FBI and our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners can act quickly against threats and protect the American people.
