Yesterday I officially filed for my place on the ballot in Austin’s mayor’s race this fall. I’ll fight to rebuild our middle class and protect our civil rights. We need a leader who will work for all Austinites…not big money, not big donors, and certainly not the Governor.

Vice President Harris: As a former Attorney General and courtroom prosecutor, I took on perpetrators of all kinds. Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers, and cheaters who broke the rules. So hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump's type

Thank you @GovPritzker and the Illinois State Legislature for creating more options for childbirth and recognizing the incredibly courageous, wickedly smart, and mostly female midwife profession! Childbirth should be normalized at home, in birth centers, and not just hospitals.
Today, the lifesaving and lifegiving work midwives perform will be legally recognized here in Illinois.   It’s a victory decades in the making and one that recognizes the full value of midwives in reproductive care – another step toward advancing health equity across our state.

Senator Kennedy thought he was smarter than Stacey Abrams. He thought wrong.
Republican Senator John Kennedy asks @StaceyAbrams to give him a list of provisions in Georgia’s new voter suppression law that she objects to. It’s a long list. Give it a listen:

We will keep working to make sure that vaccines are equitably available and that people in the communities that have suffered the most actually take the vaccines. We need that "blanket of protection" over our community, our country, and God's world.
