π CANCERTHON RECAP | JOY IN EVERY STEP πΆπ½ββοΈποΈ
The smiles grew wider, the laughter continued, and the spirit of togetherness was felt with every step! π
As we continue looking back on the FEDUSA Cancerthon, these moments capture the joy and positive energy of participants who came together in support of cancer awareness and in solidarity with those affected by cancer.
Along the route, the happiness, encouragement and shared determination reminded us that this journey is about more than walking. It is about celebrating survivors, supporting those still fighting cancer and standing together in hope. π

π CANCERTHON 2026 | WALKING IN SOLIDARITY
Annadel Coetzee of the Public Servants Association (PSA), former Vice President: Social Justice and Gender at FEDUSA, reflects on another successful Cancerthon at Elkah Stadium in Johannesburg. ποΈ
The 8km walk brought together members, families and the broader community to celebrate cancer survivors, honour those who have lost their lives to cancer, and stand in solidarity with those currently affected by the disease.
From the magnificent turnout to the family-friendly activities and generous contributions from sponsors, the day was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together for a meaningful cause.
A heartfelt thank you to all our sponsors, participants, organisers and volunteers who helped make this event a success. We also wish incoming Vice President Kinsani Maluleke every success as she takes this important initiative forward.
Together, we walk for hope, strength, awareness and solidarity. πποΈ

Today, the FEDUSA family came together for more than just a walk. We came together for a cause that touches countless lives, families and communities. π
With our members and supporters participating in numbers, the Cancerthon was a powerful celebration of community, courage, resilience and hope.
We walked in solidarity with those living with cancer, honoured those we have lost, celebrated survivors, and recognised the families and caregivers who continue to provide strength and support throughout the journey.
Every step was a reminder that no one should have to face cancer alone. Awareness matters. Support matters. Solidarity matters.
To everyone affected by cancer, your story matters, your life matters, and you are not alone. β€οΈ
Thank you to every member, participant and supporter who made todayβs Cancerthon a meaningful expression of unity and compassion.
Together, we stand. Together, we raise awareness. Together, we celebrate resilience.
