We’ve raised $1.3M from YC & Afore Capital so you never have to type or speak again. Typing is slow. Talking into your computer is awkward. Subvocal fixes both Our glasses give you the speed of speech without you making a sound or touching a keyboard. It tracks your internal speech muscles with non-contact sensing and decodes silent, almost invisible mouthing into text at more than 200 words/min. Pre-orders are now live at: subvocal.co/preorder?utm_sou…

This is wild! The brain switches between conscious and suppressed representations ~15 Hz while our perception remains stable. We’re only beginning to understand how much computation happens outside awareness. What a time for neuroscience!

1/ We discovered something totally unexpected about the neural structure of consciousness that overturns decades of thinking on its biological basis and brings us significantly closer to the recipe for generating conscious awareness. New preprint: biorxiv.org/content/10.64898… (led by @HesseJanis, with @FrankLanfranchi, @_conor_mcgrory, @Yuelin_Shi, and @EngelTatiana)
Rapid alternation of conscious and suppressed stimulus representations in the primate brain

Rapid alternation of conscious and suppressed stimulus representations in the primate brain

The neural correlates of consciousness remain elusive[1][1]. Previous studies found that high-level visual cortex is weakly modulated by conscious perception[2][2],[3][3], yet a pure signal of...

4 people to do one job of painting!!! robotics/physical ai is gonna solve this for good! lots of environments are much more harsher and way more risky. we are gonna be entering into era of abundance soon.
