LEEDS | Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed training on Thursday but Daniel Farke was “confident” about the striker’s availability. Noah Okafor and Anton Stach are “major doubts” yet again. Joe Rodon is back in full training. #FPL | #LUFC

So, Van Hecke, Muharemovic and Manzambi are better off being benched this week by some managers Makes sense, especially with Arsenal defenders having a favourable fixture. If you own all three, who gets the first bench spot? #FPL

So after debating for a week on who is the best João Pedro replacement: ✓ Jackson: 9 Points ✓ Barry: 9 Points ✓ Thiago: 9 Points ✓ Evanilson: 9 Points ✓ Isak: 2 Points Still feel Jackson is a good replacement and I'm happy to own him. Barry also remains a good pick for me, and I won't be selling him any time soon despite all the misses. #FPL
So, managers are actually selling João Pedro for Nicolas Jackson? Wouldn't it make more sense to wait for clarity on Pedro's injury first? He might only miss one GW I'm also surprised Evanilson, Isak and Thiago aren't getting more attention Are we sleeping on better alternatives? 🤔 #FPL

Watchlist: Vuskovic, Muharemovic, Kroupi Jr, Gakpo & Gabriel 9. Players to Sell: João Pedro, Saka, Semenyo, Šeško, Sávio, Tzolis, Ballard & Maatsen 10. Here's my GW9 #FPL preview: ----- Q) What to do with... Joao Pedro? I'd sell. For one of the forwards mentioned below, depending on who you own, your budget, and your structure. I'm expecting him back post-international break, but he misses out on MUN and SUN, as well as multiple price falls. Wissa? I'd keep. I know this is controversial, but I'd only sell if you have +3 FTs after selling Joao Pedro and don't own Barry/Jackson. The reason for this is that Osula went out injured in the EFL Cup game midweek, greatly increasing Wissa's minutes. Transfers are precious, and the unlucky Wissa owners can save a transfer and rotate Wissa in and out of fixtures when needed. Calafiori? I'd keep, especially with the lack of information at present. If he gets rested in the CL midweek, I could see him start and haul vs. HUL in GW10. Gibbs White? Poor, unlucky owners. I'd keep – many managers have more important fires to put out than a nailed penalty taker with few obvious assets in midfield. Gvardiol? He's been having a few days off. I'm expecting him to start against BRI, and I'd wait before selling him ahead of FUL, depending on whether he starts midweek in the CL or not. ----- Q) Priority transfers in? Here's my shortlist: DEF: Gabriel, Silva, Hill, Van Hecke, Tarkowski. Soon, Vuskovic, Virgil, and Muharemovic will become more interesting choices, but the fixtures aren't there yet. MID: Tavernier, Rayan, Mbeumo, Garner (on pens?), Schade, Le Fée. Assuming most have Gross and Rogers. Soon, Liverpool mids (Gakpo, Barcola, Wirtz, and Szoboszlai) will become good options. FWD: Barry, Jackson, Calvert-Lewin, Evanilson. In that order. Oh, and if you don't have Haaland, get him in as soon as possible. Later on, Thiago will become a decent choice. ----- Q) To Free Hit or not? With IPS facing HUL and COV facing SUN, basically all the plum fixtures are gone. Therefore, I'm against FH'ing this week. Instead, I'm looking at GW12, 14, 16... or whenever Haaland is rumoured to be benched. ---- Q) My team is in shambles. Is it okay to take a hit? Only in special circumstances. I myself took a -4, bringing Raya in last gameweek, as I couldn't risk LIV-BRI being postponed with my structure of Verbruggen + 4.0. For those with 1 FT, I'd make a transfer plan, moving key assets in one by one, even if it's easier said than done. ----- Q) Captaincy? Haaland. No one comes close this gameweek. ----- Q) My team and transfer thoughts? Rank: 102k FTs: 1 TV: £103.3m Chips left: FH After correcting my mistake of getting Saka in the week before his injury, my team looks... just about okay. I will, however, be forced to make a transfer this week; otherwise, I'll have to start one of Wissa, De Cuyper, or Thiaw. And this is assuming that Calafiori plays. I'm 90% sure that I'll transfer out Thiaw for Silva, with my gut feeling, Bournemouth's schedule, and data models all backing the move. ----- This concludes my GW9 preview. I'm testing a more compact format, so let me know what you think about it, and if you have any questions or dilemmas for GW9 ⤵️

🤔 FPL managers, who gets benched out of these three? Barnes: Favourable fixture IMO, though I know some will disagree. Groß: Offers multiple routes to points, and surely Brighton score against City? Gvardiol: A city clean sheet looks unlikely, but his attacking threat is always tempting. Who are you benching, and what's your reasoning? #FPL

Stunning to see managers considering captaining Palmer with Haaland right there That said, Palmer’s performance against Man United will go a long way in determining his future in my FPL team. One more blank and he’s getting shipped out #FPL

João Pedro’s injury is definitely affecting a lot of FPL teams With just 1 FT, is taking a hit really worth it? What happens when Pedro returns and you need another 2 transfers to bring him back? I might just hold, trust Haaland and Barry to lead my forward line, and avoid making a short-term problem worse What’s your approach? Holding, selling, or taking a hit?🤔 #FPL

Heard that Kroupi not being in the Europa League squad would allow him more minutes in the Premier League until February. Gannon-Doak replaced him under UEFA's Article 31.14, meaning he can be reinstated immediately when fit. Spurs did this last season with Solanke in the UCL.

Xabi Alonso on Joao Pedro: "He has an injury on his thigh. He will be a few weeks out. Let's see how many. We don't want to predict on that."

Bournemouth, Villa and Spurs have some tasty fixtures coming up But are we really ready to ditch the likes of Gvardiol, Ødegaard and Gonzalo? I'm happy to give Gvardiol one more week. Not every player needs to be sold just because better fixtures are tempting us elsewhere😂 Who are you shipping out without hesitation, and who's getting one more week? #FPL

4th green arrow in a row!🔥 Finally breaking into the top 1M for the first time this season The Saka ➡️ Palmer move hurt me this week, though. These are the weeks when your differentials need to deliver if you want to outscore the template On to the next! 💪 #FPL

Back from a little hiatus😭 Fxxk triple Chelsea. Just owned Palmer for the first time this season and look what I get Frustrating that Saka injury blindly led me to this guy He disappointed me last season and hasn’t really got going this season either Soon, I’m going back to Rogers and Pedro and calling it a day Then there’s Kinsky. Deep down, I believe he’s the one. I just need to find the right second GK But who? #FPL

So Liam Delap is the problem, not MGW? 👀 Maybe ignoring MGW altogether is the best way to save yourself the headache Far too many better options out there But then you look at the underlying numbers since GW5 with ZERO returns: 🔹 12 chances created 🔹 3 big chances created 🔹 1 big chance 🔹 1.87 xGI And you understand why managers keep giving him chances Are MGW owners being patient, or just refusing to accept the truth? #FPL
