Letβs talk about it! πβ€οΈππ
How many of us went to Selland Arena for @FresnoStateMBBβs during the years of Chris Herren, Melvin Ely, Dominick Young, Rafer Alston, Courtney Alexander, Demetrius Porter etc etc ???
You know what really sucks about that ?? If you experience those teams & that environment in person, youβre at least in your 40s.. youβre probably in your 60-70s.
It was truly special! π₯π₯π₯
IMHO, it was the peak of Fresno State athletics.. the only thing that comes close is the David Carr era.
Now letβs bring it back to 2026 and the NIL era.. The only way to win consistently in this NIL era is to create revenue & invest in your roster EVERY YEAR.. There is NO other option to have continued success.
So the program has to profit off basketball! .. With ticket sales, at the concessions, with merchandise & probably more so donations/fundraising.
β¦ But we have to take that revenue and put it into the roster! BUY TALENT. It wonβt matter who coaches this team if we cannot compete in the @pac12 with NIL. PERIOD.
This program has been on its belly for over 20 years.. The GVS is desperately trying to inject this program with the energy thatβs needed.
Will you come join us ????
I canβt tell you how many people had a reason why they couldnβt join the GVS for footballβ¦ Family has had those seats for decades.. Itβs too hot on the east side of the stadiumβ¦. On & on.
Well now is your chance to make a difference! We need you NOW!!
Reach out and come join us for Fresno State basketball π .. LETS GOOO!! π£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈ

Win or lose weβll ALWAYS be behind this University!! Letβs keep building!! β€οΈππ @FresnoStateMBB @FSAthletics @KlassyDogs
Weβd like to say something to the @FSAthletics π team. β€οΈππ
Yeah things havenβt gone your way the last few weeks BUT we ABSOLUTELY care about this seasonβ¦. We care about this team.. We care about these players.. We care about these coachesβ¦ We care about program consistencyβ¦ IT MATTERSβ¦ π€π€
There is a HUGE difference between a 10-3, 9-4 season & a 7-6, 6-7 seasonβ¦ You never know what can happenβ¦ you may still win a @pac12 championship.. Itβs still out there for you. π―
Grab the rope with your brothers & get ready to βDOG out the Beavers next Saturday.. THIS IS ABOUT US!!! π€π€β€οΈππ @FresnoStateFB
The GVS will be attending the preseason @FresnoStateMBB game today! BUT first weβll be at the DOGHOUSE grill to pre game at NOON! β€οΈππ
Come grab a burger, have a drink & enjoy others who have a great passion for this university!
SEE YOU SOON!! β€οΈππ

Agree, human nature will always be a part of it. When people wanna come, they will, when they donβt, they wonβtβ¦ ideally the GVS will be different & when we are in attendance itβs π£οΈπ£οΈπ£οΈGOOOO time! π€π€

Fan driven but also work with the university. The university should want to help us in ways that are beneficial for both. If the university takes it over it will not have its own freedom and creative decisions⦠but without university help we will be ineffective

I think both sides agree.. everything that weβve heard is the university would like to keep it fan driven.. and thatβs completely OK with us.. but @KlassyDogs can we work with the marketing team to help grow the environment/numbers which will really have an impact on the excitement around the programs.
When we grow to 250-500+ members we will be able to attend way more non-football events like volleyball, water polo etc. β€οΈππ
Happy Friday everyone! β€οΈοΏΌππ
Here is the hard truth! The Green V section is the ONLY way for this fan base to be ELITE from week to weekπ―
This fan base picks it spots to be really really good.. but what about when the team is 3-3 & weβre playing Portland Stateβ¦. Think about it!
This is the type of value we would love for @FresnoStateFB @FSAthletics @KlassyDogs @BulldogSportEnt to see in us bcus itβs 100% trueβ¦
Now hereβs the question I have for everybody reading thisβ¦
- Should the university promote the Green V section? ππ
- Would the Green V section be better off officially affiliated with the university or staying as a fan driven movement? ππ
Everyone on the university side has been so generous with their time with us! We are VERY thankful & we look forward to more meetings in the off-season! β€οΈππ
Full transparency! β€οΈππ
We are in the final stages of becoming a non-profit organization so that we can get sponsors to help bring in the valley youth, help support the movement & grow this tradition!
Now hereβs the thingβ¦ we are still growing! We get pulled in alot of different directions & we LOVE that fans & coaches see the value in us! This all takes time to get the valley & this fan base on board.
In time we will support/attend EVERY Fresno State Athletics event this university has. from water polo, softball, equestrian, swim & dive, volleyball, the club hockey team etc etc.
At this time, weβre just not there yet.. we have a solid core group but until we really grow the numbers weβre going to have to organize around a lot of things. β€οΈππ
We ask for buy in & patience! Weβll get there! π€π€
I know everybodyβs upset about Saturdayβs outcome.. completely understandable! β€οΈππ
Hear us out! π€π€
When the GVS reaches its goals πππ we will attract the talent to help FS win.. players want to play in front of a fan base thatβs ELECTRIC β‘οΈβ‘οΈβ‘οΈ
The fans donβt recruit the playersβ¦. The fans donβt hire and fireβ¦ the fans typically arenβt big donors π―
Absolutely no offense to anyone, but we are building something that will outlast athletic directors, coaches & players.. We have something that this university can stand on! Come help us build it β€οΈππ
Win, lose or draw itβs always FULL SUPPORT!!! β€οΈππ
We donβt back upβ¦ we donβt give inβ¦. If the βDOGS are playingβ¦ weβre in the stands. See yall on Halloween π @FSfootbalIinfo @FSAthletics
When we reach the highest peak of this program someday just make sure you were one of the ones who showed up when we were down π€π€
