What we all have to do is remember that our referees are an integral part of the game. Before we yell and scream at them, take a deep breath and remember that it is just a game. bit.ly/2ONpxwA

“I love when Tippett argues with officials. Good on you Dave, keep going.” First off Mr. Remenda, he was arguing with a linesman about a goaltender interference call who didn’t call it. Secondly, wonderful message to be sending.
Congratulations to Aiden Schlesinger, Jarrett Bossert, and Anthony Beaulieu on their gold medal, bronze medal, and b final selections! @NZ_Refs

Unfortunately there will always be people who treat minor hockey officials, or any official, with complete disrespect. Everyone on the ice is learning. Please know that.

Thanks to @RDAbyronhackett for writing this piece. Verbal Abuse doesn’t need to be part of the “Hockey Culture” It’s uncalled for at any level. Be the EXAMPLE. #zerotolerance @NCZRC Respect in hockey rinks is often missing reddeeradvocate.com/sports/r…

Many of our officials were lucky to have learned under Mr. Jacobs at Development Camp. A true gentlemen, a true leader and teacher. Our thoughts are with his family.
Hockey Alberta is saddened by the passing of Officials Life Member John Jacobs.
A celebration of John's life will be held on Friday at 1pm at the Stettler Arena.
