There are, in fact, quite a number of Westerners who have escaped the "unelected EU bureaucracy" over the past four years to embrace true liberty in Russia, and I took it upon myself to document their stories. Welcome to "Vatnik FAFO Stories", the definitive edition!🧵

A 4000 year old city has emerged from the grasslands of Kazakhstan 🇰🇿, and it’s forcing historians to rewrite what they thought they knew about the Bronze Age. The settlement, known as Semiyarka or the “City of Seven Ravines,” is not a campsite or a village. It’s a fully planned metropolis from around 1600 BC, complete with earth walls stretching over a kilometer, organized household compounds, and a massive central structure aligned east to west. This wasn’t a temporary stop. People lived, worked, and built here for generations. Even more surprising, the city wasn’t just using bronze, it was manufacturing it at an industrial scale. Archaeologists found copper ore, crucibles, slag, and finished tools, confirming that Semiyarka produced high-grade tin bronze right on site. In the ancient world, tin was rare and strategic. Whoever controlled it controlled power. Located near major copper and tin sources and overlooking the Irtysh River trade route, Semiyarka wasn’t on the edge of civilization. It sat at the crossroads of ancient supply networks stretching across Asia. For a region long described as the land of wandering herders, this discovery tells a very different story: organized cities, specialized industry, and long-distance trade were already thriving here four millennia ago. 📸© Peter J. This is a great photo showing excavations at Pompeii in 1913. This is the "Thermopolium of Asellina", an ancient snack bar that sold hot and cold ready-to-eat food. It is on Via dell’Abbondanza. As you can see, the amphorae on the left are in situ and partly excavated, left as they were when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. France shows Europe how to build a fully autonomous defense industry. It has domestic analogues for every major US system: from fighters and ships to Patriot-clsss air defense and space programs. No other European state maintains such technical capability — Ukrainska Pravda. 1/

🇫🇷 France - The Sleeping Giant of Europe Just Happens to Be Armed to the Teeth. France is the quiet heavyweight of global power, and honestly, it is baffling how often people overlook it. The United States and China love to act as if they’re the only titans in the room, but if they underestimate France, that is their mistake to pay for, not France’s. Macron may project diplomacy over bravado, but do not confuse calm leadership with a lack of force. Behind the polite exterior stands a nation with teeth. Sharp ones.
