Komo (Seattle Times took a pass on this story) covers the impact the unconstitutional income tax will have on philanthropy.
A couple of observations:
-The impact is real and the CEO of Seattle Children’s brings the receipts
-The Seattle Times refusal to carry the op-ed is shameful
-We should all be talking about this because ST broke the story looking out for the public not because the CEO had to get around them to get the story out
-Bob Ferguson is clearly caught flat footed by the question and gives a “squirrel!!!” Answer
-Jamie Pedersen is baking more pie-crusts.. oh don’t worry we will fix it
-The unconstitutional income tax was written with so much haste and with no real input or concern for the negative impacts that we will continue to find sulphur filled easter eggs as we watch businesses shut down or flee the state

WHILE EVERYONE IS WATCHING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, LOCAL GOVERNMENTS ARE MOVING TO BAN KRATOM!
And if you're a kratom consumer, YOU NEED TO BE PAYING ATTENTION.
We're seeing cities, towns, and counties across the country considering restrictions, and some are going after the ENTIRE botanical plant!
HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING! 👇
🔴 **Schoharie County, NY:** Adopted a natural-leaf sales ban October 16. Effective date pending confirmation.
🔴 **Louisiana:** Already banned kratom in 2025. Issued another emergency scheduling rule October 19.
⚠️ **Saratoga County, NY:** Proposed countywide natural-leaf ban.
⚠️ **Merrimack, NH:** October 22 hearing. Natural-leaf capsules could be affected.
⚠️ **Quincy, WA:** Discussing a possible sales ban October 20.
⚠️ **Hamilton County, NY:** November 5 hearing on a proposed blanket ban.
DO YOU SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE?!
While everyone is focused on federal scheduling, local governments are making decisions that could eliminate access to kratom one community at a time.
KRATOM COMMUNITY, START PAYING ATTENTION TO YOUR CITY COUNCILS, COUNTY COMMISSIONS, AND LOCAL PUBLIC HEARINGS.
Not every proposal has passed. Residents still have opportunities to participate and make their voices heard.
Please share! People can't speak up about decisions they don't even know are being considered. 💚

Stop calling everything Kratom. This week’s recap gets into the Ole Miss deaths, the products reportedly found, the AKA response, and the confusion between natural Kratom and synthetic products.

Hey @spencerpratt I was just in Spokane filming the devastation while doing a story on the Homeless crisis there. You are spot on with your commentary.

The city of Spokane is refusing to waive demolition permit fees for fire victims. After losing EVERYTHING, victims have to pay $500 to cap the water and sewer lines under their burned out house. What the fuck is the point of paying taxes? Just like California, Washington uses taxpayer dollars to buy crackpipes and heroin needles for unemployed homeless drug zombies, but when you, the working class taxpayer, lose everything you have through no fault of your own, you still have to pay for this?
These city leaders are so fucking petty they'll still force fire victims to pay $35 for permission to demolish their own destroyed home. Why? You couldn't just waive it? For $35? Yeah, it's not a lot of money, but that actually makes it worse...forcing a fire victim to cough up a meager sum that in NO way actually funds the process in any meaningful way just shows that you are doing it out of spite. Just a nice little "fuck you" to the peasants.
Additionally, the state of Washington is forcing fire victims to pay sales tax to replace the items they lost in the fire. Again...why? The state was never factoring in that revenue...it never existed on the balance sheet BUT for the fire. Government is collecting a windfall from people's LOSSES. There's literally zero need to collect taxes on shit that people already owned.
Back during the mid 90's floods, the state legislature passed a sales tax exemption for victims replacing their stuff. If they don't do this in their next leg session, they all need to go. The one thing WA did is cut property tax on their burned out homes, which is the absolute least they could do.
You assholes never maintain your forests, everybody lost everything, their pets burned alive, and now you're going tack on an extra 9.1% to the cost of rebuilding their lives...for what? Not to mention the fact that a couch today costs probably 2x as much as when they first bought the one they just lost. I fucking hate these people, man.

🚨The scientist who told the world COVID wasn't made in a lab forgot to mention his own lab was cashing checks from the vaccine.
We're still working through the hundreds of pages @SenRandPaul's committee released of the private Slack messages between the scientists behind "The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2"... the paper that told the world in March 2020 the virus was NOT made in a lab. More on that soon. But we wanted to flag this one now.
March 22, 2021 (a year after the paper published) lead author Kristian Andersen writes to his three co-authors:
"Wait until the tinfoil hats get a hold of this information. I learned today that Scripps Research has a 1/3% royalty stream to the COVID-19 vaccines because we hold the patent on the '2P' mutation used to stabilize the spike protein - used in all the leading vaccines… $40m so far this year."
Scripps Research - Andersen's own employer, the institution where "Proximal Origin" was written - held a patent used in the leading COVID vaccines, and was collecting royalty income from it. By Andersen's own count, $40 million in 2021 alone.
That royalty relationship does not appear in the paper's conflict-of-interest disclosure.
Andersen flags the "tinfoil hats" optics himself, in the message, in real time. We're just showing you what he wrote.
More findings coming as we work through the rest of the documents.

My uncle was in military & he worked in Antarctica (this was a long time ago, I was too to understand). Later my dad told me that he didn’t know UNTIL my uncle was home & even then he couldn’t give him any detailed info. My dad & uncle were CLOSE too.
THIS MIGHT BE CONSIDERED A CONSPIRACY THEORY....
What is the reason for all the new technologies like DATA CENTERS? Could this man be right?
Is the cover story of "innovation" being sold to us as progress all wrong?
In the old world humans were assets more people meant more labor - more soldiers - more taxpayers, but when automation does the work people become liabilities.
From the corporate perspective humans are dead weight and a liability.
The real future now is reducing the human surplus without firing a single shot and the system being built makes it look like progress.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT - Maybe we should be paying closer attention.
