Qualcomm says its new ARM-powered Snapdragon X Elite CPU has better single-threaded performance than Apple's M2 Max and Intel's Core i9-13980HX all with a lot less power usage. Could be an interesting moment for Windows on ARM

The scale of the transition can be daunting. But focusing on supply (left side) can be misleading.
We waste most of the energy we produce (rejected) and only use a small share.
This US Sankey diagram is a great example, but the global trend is similar.

Misconceptions/confusions I STILL hear about Teslas FREQUENTLY (and why a controlled narrative, via education campaign, would be so beneficial):
• they struggle to charge in the winter
• you have to stop multiple times on a trip and it takes hours each time
• “they aren’t for the ‘working class’” (actual quote) — so not affordable.
• They don’t know about the price drops nor tax credits
• can’t tell the difference been model 3 and model y
• their car can also “drive itself” 🤦♂️
• needs a special charger installed in your house or you can’t charge (no idea it can charge on a 110v outlet)
• you’re not allowed to use normal tires on them
• they have no idea you don’t need to change the oil or rarely the breaks
• That there is an 8 year, 120-150K mile warranty
• they think the battery replacement is 15K+ and is a frequent occurrence with them
• no idea just HOW SAFE these cars are. They just hear of EV battery fires.
The list goes on and on…
Switching from something familiar (like a gas car) to something completely unknown (like an EV) is already “scary” — a ton of added friction since people are lazy creatures of habit… but it’s not as simple as just switching from Apple to Android.
These cars are high expense and most often financed. People are scared to commit (and financing is a huge commitment) to something that is still so ambiguous, and a major unknown, without a ton of research.
Tesla needs to be the brand champion leading the education of these EV marketing efforts.

People often forget that we live under a large radiant multi-spectral emitter of cancer-causing electromagnet radiation (some ionizing) averaging 1,360 watts per metre². The sun also kills most plant seeds unless they are buried deeply enough or shaded from the radiation. 🌞🌱
