The Blue Wave is what happens when you post AI memes instead of explaining why gas is high.
Without good PR, you’ll accomplish nothing. Because you won’t get elected.

It's an intentional detail that everyone underestimates Spidey. Peter prefers it that way, it's part of why he tells jokes all the time.
The Joker, however, is on the same level of Batman in researching and predicting his opponents, especially the ones with really high moral compasses.
Not that Joker would definitely beat Spidey, but it's unlikely he'd lose by monologuing too long. Depending on the versions, the actual tough part and likely deciding factor would be getting past the spider-sense.

Fascinating how everyone is claiming that Spidey's jokes would be the deciding factor purely because of his fight against Terry.
Firstly, Timm-verse Joker has characteristics that aren't universally shared by his other iterations. Are there any other definitive versions of the Joker that raged about being laughed at?
Second, I was always under the impression that Joker lost it in that fight specifically because BATMAN was laughing at him. This is the same guy who often has to deal with Robin, a sidekick known for his constant quips. Terry shouldn't really be anything new.
Third, the problem with the Joker is that you can beat him, but if you're not willing to kill him, he's probably gonna come back and do something heinous. Spidey is likely winning one single encounter against the Joker, but maintaining his sanity after Joker has become obsessed with him is another story.
