It is genuinely astounding how woefully mismanaged the gaming rights to this franchise are.
Imagine what we could be getting instead of this mobile slop. Imagine it and weep.
The comments on this are hilarious. Don’t get me wrong, if Rhaenyra is out there swinging a sword like The Hound with zero to minimal training yeah that’s dumb, but why would she not be armed at all times with a war breaking out? There’s already been attempts on her life.
Rhaenyra may carry a sword or blade full-time in ‘HOUSE OF THE DRAGON’ Season 3, as per request of Emma D’Arcy themselves:
“All the men in the show don’t have to worry about where they put their hands because they’re constantly holding the pommel of their sword. That obviously sounds like innuendo and you can do with that what you will but that is true. And all the rest of us are going, “Where do we put our f—king hands?”
Anyway, next year one hand is going to be taken care of. That’s what I want. I want a sword and I’ve been really clear about that with Ryan and I think that’s happening.”

So glad to see Rings of Power continue to be rewarded for it’s step up in season 2. This show deserves to be spoken of alongside the best prestige television shows currently running. Big shoes to fill in season 3 of course, but they can absolutely do it.
The Rings of Power has been nominated for the 52nd Annual Saturn Awards in the Best Fantasy Television Series category. Awards will be presented on 2 February 2025.

I think the reactions would be a lot less harsh towards GRRM if he just came out and said this. Can’t really blame him for just being honest and saying “hey, at this point the drive isn’t there anymore and I’m just gonna leave it”. It’s the stringing along that’s frustrating.
