Attorney Nadine Meintjies (30) and an unidentified male passenger were shot dead inside a Toyota Urban Cruiser at the Klipspruit West off-ramp in Johannesburg on Monday, 2 November 2026.
Police arrived to find the vehicle stationary with several bullet holes in the driver’s door. Meintjies was in the driver’s seat; the man was in the front passenger seat. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were declared dead at the scene by emergency services. No arrests have been made. Motive remains unknown. Reports describe it as looking like a targeted assassination.
This is the grim reality of daily life under the ANC’s failed “rainbow” experiment; another young White professional gunned down in her vehicle in broad daylight-style urban violence, while authorities open yet another “investigation” with zero results.
President Trump has called it correctly.
This is not random “crime,” it is the predictable outcome of racial policies, farm attacks, and a government that prioritizes everything except protecting its productive minority citizens.

DONOVAN MARX CASE: I BELIEVE THE FOUR ACCUSED SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED BAIL
I believe the four accused in the Donovan Marx case should remain in custody while the case proceeds. I support the State’s opposition to bail. The safety of Donovan, his family and witnesses, and the integrity of the investigation, must receive serious attention.
The four accused who appeared in the Ventersdorp Magistrates’ Court are Phindile Alex Namnagcayi (30), Mothoka Godfrey Mathipa (56), Makema Jan Maishane (53) and Thomas Thabo Mathongtlhong (27).
According to the latest information I have received, the fifth person originally arrested has been removed from the charge sheet and is expected to testify for the State under section 204 of the Criminal Procedure Act.
The case has been postponed to 13 November 2026 for address verification, with bail applications also expected.
Court feedback indicates that accused number one had been living on Donovan’s farm. The State argued that he could not return there if released. Accused number three reportedly has a previous conviction for robbery with aggravating circumstances and spent two years in prison.
These circumstances must be properly examined and supported by evidence before the court. My position is that bail should be refused. The decision rests with the court.
If convicted, those responsible must face sentences that reflect the full severity of this attack.
Thank you again to SAPS investigators, local farm watches, farmers, private security personnel and community members who assisted. Their work must now be followed through with a thoroughly prepared prosecution.
My thoughts remain with Donovan, Louise, their loved ones and the farmworker who was also attacked. Their dignity and privacy must be respected.

In 2017, 21-year-old Stellenbosch University student Hannah Cornelius was carjacked after dropping off a friend in the early hours of the morning.
She was brutally gang-raped, stabbed in the neck, and mu*dered when a 37.5-kilogram rock was dropped on her head.
The details of what happened are deeply disturbing.
On May 27, 2017, Hannah and her friend, 22-year-old Cheslin Marsh, were sitting in her grandmother’s blue-and-white Volkswagen Citi Golf outside his residence in Stellenbosch, South Africa, saying their goodbyes.
Four men approached the vehicle and threatened them with a sharpened screwdriver and a knife through the open window.
Vernon Witbooi, Geraldo Parsons, and Eben van Niekerk forced their way into the car.
At approximately 3:40 a.m., the vehicle drove away with all five people inside.
Cheslin was forced into the boot while the group drove to a drug dealer’s home, where they smoked crystal meth before continuing through Stellenbosch.
At 4:34 a.m., CCTV footage captured Witbooi entering a petrol station and attempting to use Cheslin’s stolen bank card. The PIN he had been given was incorrect.
Near Kraaifontein, the men stopped and dragged Cheslin from the boot. They forced him onto the ground, beat him over the head with bricks, and left him unconscious.
Hannah was taken to an isolated paintball range, where she was gang-r*ped by multiple men over several hours.
She was then driven to Groenhof Farm, stabbed in the neck, and k*lled when a 37.5-kilogram rock was dropped onto her head twice.
Her body was discovered later that morning.
Cheslin eventually regained consciousness and managed to walk to the nearest home he could find. He survived, but was left permanently deaf in one ear.
Witbooi and Parsons were arrested that afternoon following a police chase. Van Niekerk and Nashville Julius were arrested the following day.
In November 2018, the Western Cape High Court sentenced Witbooi, Parsons, and van Niekerk to two life sentences each for Hannah’s r*pe and mu*der.
Julius received 22 years for robbery and kidnapping.
At the sentencing, Hannah’s father, Willem Cornelius, spoke words that captured the devastation experienced by her family:
“Our family died on the day Hannah died.”
Willem died on December 9, 2022.
Hannah’s mother, Anna, had been found dead in the South Atlantic Ocean in March 2018. Her death was ruled accidental.
And Hannah’s younger brother, who has autism, continued asking when his sister was coming home.
A young woman’s life was stolen in an act of unimaginable violence. Her family was left carrying a grief that no sentence could ever undo.
Hannah deserved a future filled with love, laughter, and possibility.
May her memory never be forgotten.

A new tax on all households and a levy on streaming services in South Africa are among the suggested alternative funding sources to replace the failed SABC TV licence.
The government has no place in entertainment, taxpayers should not be burdened with the cost of this absolutely useless entity.
If an organization can not sustain itself autonomously, it has no place staying in business.
All this is going to do is increase piracy.

Les and his wife Natasha said the attackers tied the couple’s feet, blindfolded them, bound their arms behind their backs, and kept them apart for two to three hours of torture.
Les: “The worst was when they started cutting my wife’s nipples, just to cause pain. She’s a very, very strong woman. A good woman.”
They forced the barrel of Les’ own AK-47 into his mouth and pulled the trigger. It failed to fire.
Les: “It was God’s grace. There’s nothing wrong with my gun. But they didn’t know much about guns, to be honest.”
Natasha was nearly raped twice. Her clothes were cut off, she was slapped, and rags were forced into her mouth until her frenulum tore. Her lips are badly swollen, there are bruises behind her ears, and her shoulder was almost dislocated. Both were tortured with boiling water.
Les was hit over the head with bolt cutters. His face was severely swollen, the white of one eye filled with blood, and his left eardrum burst. He cannot hear from that ear.
The attackers told Natasha, “We’re not here to steal cables.” Bank cards were left untouched.

South Africa is being flooded with cheap Chinese metal. Showrooms full of Haval, Chery, GWM, BYD, Changan, Omoda and the next badge that arrived last month. Big screens, fake-SUV stance, lights that dance and soft leatherette. A price that looks like a bargain next to a Volkswagen, Toyota, Suzuki, BMW or Mercedes.... That is the con.
Youth is buying the advert, not the car, not the service book and not the trade-in. They see gadgets and think they stole a German interior at half the money. They did not, they bought a pretty box from a market that is being force-fed volume by a country that treats exports like a weapon.
Established cars earn their residuals.
Toyota and Suzuki start, service and sell again. VW has parts on a shelf in this country. BMW and Mercedes cost more because the used market still respects the badge when you walk into a dealership three years later. That is not snobbery, that is a number on a valuation sheet.
Chinese volume brands do the opposite. Day one they look loaded. Day 800 the screen is still shiny and the offer on trade-in is "kak". Buyers discover the hard way that a car is not what it costs new. It is what a dealer will pay when you are done with it. That gap is where these brands live.
Parts is where the romance dies.
Break something on a well-known Japanese or German car and the country already has the pipeline. Break something on one of these new imports and you sit, week or sometimes months. Finance does not pause while a control arm or a screen module sits on a boat. You are the one without a car. That is not “growing pains.” That is the product.
This is market manipulation with a smile, flood the segment, undercut the monthly and stuff the cabin with toys. Long warranty on the brochure. Photograph it like an SUV even when the tyres and the drivetrain say city car. Take the young buyer who would have walked into Toyota, Suzuki or VW. Take the family that would have stretched for a used German. Push them into something that looks expensive and depreciates like a phone.
South Africa loses twice. First the customer leaves a proven brand. Then the same customer comes back poorer, waiting on parts, staring at a trade-in that does not cover the hole. The “cheap” car was never cheap. The marketing was.
Give it two years. That is when the first wave of owners hit real mileage, first serious failures, first refinance, first trade. Then the clever campaign from Beijing stops looking clever. It looks like a dump of disposable product into a market that cannot afford to learn the lesson twice.
If you want a toy with a tablet on the dash, buy the toy and admit it.
If you want a car that still has a spine when you sell it, buy what this country already knows how to fix: Volkswagen, Toyota, Suzuki, BMW, Mercedes.
The rest is a costume. Beautiful in the parking lot but ugly on the valuation and when it breaks, you are not a customer, you are a waiting list.
