Sad to hear of the passing of Susan Saint James at age 80; always thought she and Rock Hudson were one of the all-time great TV married couples on McMillan and Wife, and I don't care how un-PC Love at First Bite is now, it still makes me laugh. #RIPSusanSaintJames

A sober Lee Marvin and a dying Robert Ryan. If you haven’t watched this, you’re missing out.

A film I have long wanted to see, but couldn't find anywhere is the 1973 production of Eugene O'Neill's THE ICEMAN COMETH. Finally watched all four hours of it on Tubi, directed by John Frankenheimer, and starring Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, and Frederic March.
The main draw is the acting by an amazing cast of pros. Marvin has a 25 minute soliloquy in the final act that is gold, and Robert Ryan delivers what might be his best performance ever, more poignant because he was terminally ill at the time, & this was his last film.

Comic reading this weekend: #Superman #42 & Superman #KingdomofZod #9 (the whole Superman family is on deck for the end of this Big Event; though I'm not a avid Big Blue reader, it delivered); #SpaceGhost vs #TheHerculoids #1 (Hanna-Barbera this is not). #DCComics #Dynamite
Watched on #Netflix this weekend: episodes 5 and 6 of #StrangerThings: Season Five; getting close to wrapping it up, so the writers concocted some Big Moments for Jonathan and Nancy and Steve and Dustin, and then punted the stakes; story feels like it is going in a circle.

Went to see a matinee of #Clayface today: it's the origin story of a Batman villain with not even a mention of the Caped Crusader, that's a letdown, but it does succeed as a decent body horror/revenge mashup, and it hits the story beats pretty well. Plus, it has some nudity.

New episode out now with the always fun @CraigAndFriends . We cover Honeysuckle Rose and it’s a fun time.
Hard to believe it has been that long, but I do remember what a sensation CARRIE was when it came out, and for many of us, our intro to De Palma and Stephen King. @colebrax really does this essential American horror film justice, and reminds us why we need no sequels or remakes.
On Nov. 3rd, 1976, movie fans were introduced to Carietta Nadine White and the film has been delighting horror enthusiasts ever since.
