NASA honors the memory of Dolly Parton, who passed away on Aug. 25, 2026.
In 1989, Dolly performed at @NASAJohnson's Rocket Park, alongside fellow musicians Willie Nelson and Kenny Rogers, to an audience of over 12,000 NASA employees and their families.

The Orion spacecraft recently ignited its main engine on the service module for about six minutes to provide about 6,000 pounds of thrust. This maneuver not only sets the Artemis II astronauts on the path to the Moon. The Death Star was big enough to have a noticeable effect on the tides of any planets nearby, assuming it was near planets which had tides, which it was not. But that’s all it would have been: noticeable. The Death Star would have been more like a Moon, only it had been told, in no uncertain terms, that it was no Moon.
