In 1972, Bill Clinton (McGovern Texas coordinator) drove Boggs to the airport in Texas. Boggs continued to Alaska; the plane disappeared in bad weather. No wreckage was recovered. Clinton's role was routine campaign logistics. There is no evidence he was involved beyond the drive or that he knew the Alaska flight would be fatal. Lindy Boggs won the special election and served in the House until 1991. That is ordinary succession after a missing-person declaration. No evidence she planned or participated in the disappearance. Tommy Boggs later raised substantial soft money and contributions for Clinton. In 1997 Clinton appointed Lindy ambassador to the Holy See. Those are documented later institutional ties.
