Happy New Year everyone! With the new year beginning we wanted to introduce our newest team member Stacey Denyer who has joined us from RBL as our Communication and Engagement Officer. We are so pleased Stacey is starting with the programme. Stacey will be in touch very soon.

With Black Friday and Christmas just around the corner, it’s worth remembering that there are many veteran owned small business’s and it would be great to see more people supporting them where possible.

A quick update from our Programme Lead ahead of Remembrance weekend with an important message from our recent consultation.

This week we held the last in our series of focus groups. Thank you so much to everyone who completed a questionnaire, took part in a focus group or encouraged others to get involved. Watch this space for the feedback and findings which we hope to publish really soon.

We’ve had another busy week. We held our toolkit development focus group, presented at the Somerset AFC conference and attended the Armed Forces Covenant Conference in Winchester. Networking and collaboration are essential to the success of the programme so thank you to everyone.

The Centre for Military Women’s Research are running their Military Women’s Health and Wellbeing conference. Last year, it was amazing to attend and will surely be great again. They are also looking for abstract submissions so follow the information below to find out how to book.

Our Programme lead , @Lizajarvis79, spoke at the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Conference yesterday. It was great to see Female veterans front and centre at the event. Collaboration and partnership are key parts of our work so it was fantastic to see so much interest in what we do.

There is still time to sign up to our online toolkit workshop on the 22/10. We want to invite all providers of services, veteran focused or not. We want to hear what resources work & what clearly doesn’t. To sign up email [email protected]

Our Programme Lead attended the Female Veterans Alliance @VeteransFemale workshop in Wales yesterday. This was a fantastic event hearing the views, opinions and experiences of female veterans and how things can be improved in the future. Thank you for the invite!

Our programme will be producing a toolkit or resource for service providers giving guidance to transform service provision for female veterans. Let us know if you can recommend a toolkit that you use in your current work. We'd love to have some more examples of best practice!

Our Communications and Engagement Lead, Hannah West, is moving on to join the Centre for Military Women's Research at @AngliaRuskin as a Senior Research Fellow although will be staying involved in this programme. We are going to be recruiting for her current role shortly!
