Day 4 : Is your password a little too easy to guess? 👀🎂 If someone knows your birthday, can they log into your bank app or social media? 🤔 Dates of birth and simple number patterns are a hacker's favorite shortcut. Today, let's swap out predictable dates for strong ones.

I thought this thing would have left my head but Omo, e no gree comot at all 😂🥲 Last night I had a “potential mentor” meeting for the CCF SOC Accelerator bootcamp with a Cybersec expert. We introduced ourselves. Solid babe. Calm energy. Then she drops it: “I know you. You interviewed me for Cyblack internship in 2024.” Omor, I froze. I no remember anything. I had to open my mailbox to look the 2024 meeting details. I also found her X DM she sent after she got accepted, with my response “I’m rooting for you.” This lady has soared!!. In two years she has done things that if she never told me herself, I would have sworn we never met. Then the memories started hitting. I remember sitting in front of that PC in my former workspace that afternoon. - I saw the name “Oly babe” - She turned on her camera. - Computer Science student. - Talking freely about the intersection of CS and Cybersec. - Talking about what she wanted to squeeze out of that internship. - Talking like somebody who already knew she wasn’t going to stay average. Most importantly, the “I am not the regular student” energy aura was around her that day The same energy I used to see in myself and my people back in FUTA. Real recognizes Real. Then the question landed heavy: What if I had mishandled her that day? What if I wasn’t sensitive enough? What if I had looked at her and said “Cyblack is not for someone like you”? - I would have been the person who failed at his duty. - I would have been the person who slowed down what could have been. - I would have said NO to one of the people who is now showing up in her full capacity for CCF and the students coming behind. God forbid. For a fact, I am always going to be rooting for you “Oly Baby” One thing i think everybody should hold on to is that This thing is bigger than us sometimes. We just have to stay open. The person in front of you today might one day return and show you that the small thing you did years ago actually mattered. And that reminder can reconnect you to your original “why.” Also, if you are student studying cybersecurity or you know one, let them know this bootcamp is for them Follow @ccfairfuta for more information
Omoor Something just happened to me tonight and I can't explain my feelings All I know right now is that I am in some feelings I'm happy I am proud of my actions I feel fulfilled I'm grateful for not misusing opportunities given to me And more importantly, I'm happy that I didn't turn out to be that person who did not give people their deserved chance to achieve their goals or maximize their potentials

There's a concept in UNI called "Catch them young." Simple idea: the earlier you're pulled into a culture, the deeper it shapes who you become. We took that same idea... and applied it to something bigger. “Catch YOUR Career Young” I did it.
My guys did it.
Every single one of us did it and it paid off in ways we didn't expect. Now it's your turn. If you're studying cybersecurity in UNI right now, pay attention, this was built for you. No more: "I only know what I learned in class"
"We were never taught Linux" “The Database class was confusing for everyone” “We were made to calculate elliptic curve cryptography with Pen and paper” “Digital forensic class was all about definitions” Or
Waiting till final year to start building something real We're about to help you flip the script, starting NOW, not after graduation. Real skills. Real projects. Real portfolio pieces that make recruiters stop scrolling when they see your CV. This isn't just another program. This is the head start most cybersec students wish they had. And we're about to hand it to you. Something is coming.
We can't say everything yet.
But when it drops, you'll want to already be following. Follow @ccfairfuta , so you're not the last to know.

You probably already have a SOC project sitting inside your Windows VM. 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Generate one simple activity: Failed login New account Process execution Group change Then investigate what Windows recorded.

I'm not confused... I have a goal to attain.. so many branches, but I prune out those distorting my goal.. At the end, the branches left adds beauty to my goal. 🚀🚀🚀🚀

Some Nigerian cybersecurity students… Maybe the % is higher and it is strictly because some of the lecturers can’t give them all they need Or - The lecturer is giving what he/she needs but it is a lot for the student to handle based on the fact that he/he has other university courses to deal with Or - The syllabus/course material isn’t favorable Or - The student him/herself is not going the extra mile like the other “good” students But the reality is there are some students who self-learned individuals can’t lace their shoes, and vice versa Infact there are students in higher level that can't lace the shoes of students in lower levels & vice versa Anyone studying ( from whatever channel or means) should just do better for themselves
A Nigerian cybersecurity student in a university can’t beat a self learned individual out here. Lecturers have no idea about most of these things, curriculum isn’t structured enough, no technical training or knowledge…

I'm going through a lot but e no concern my HOD.😂 He decided to take a break when i'm currently inside my "a lot" phase. Now, he left me no choice than to listen to people's problem and get them solved when I can't even solve mine.😭😭😂
