Tenth Viewing of the @A24 release of #AriAster’s @eddingtonmovie Viewed theatrically at @FilmStreams Dundee. For the last time. This film is not in the center, left, or right. It’s not on-the-fence. It’s more of a fly on the wall birds eye view if not a god’s eye view of events. Done with such a brilliant ambiguity in the writing, directing, and acting that this film will play so differently for each viewer on a one-on-one basis. Based on what that viewers brings to their seat in the auditorium. Any two drastically different people will see this in their own unique way that if they told each other what it was about, they would question if they were even talking about or had seen the same movie. Each individual take is valid. It should be known this movie isn’t providing answers or solutions. As we are still in the aftermath of everyone’s tattoo choices from that time. Tattoo, meaning an applied identity that is permanent beyond its time of belief that naturally evolves over time.
