Please understand this basic fact. THOUSANDS saw the amount of paramilitary forces on the streets. They decided to turn up anyway. Countless including the group I was with were scattered/detained/chased but regrouped again, and chanted slogans again, DESPITE knowing that mass detention was happening DESPITE witnessing cops and goons resorting to violence. This was an outstanding demonstration of Satyagraha. This was just day 1.
