I am active here. I keep posting. Despite everything.
Despite the unbearable weight I carry, the pain that never ends, the constant bombing, and the repeated evacuation orders. Despite living minute by minute, never knowing who I might lose next, or whether I will be the one who is lost.
Why?
Because despite everything, we are still alive.
And as long as I am still here, breathing, standing in front of my children, able to see them and for them to see me, I cannot bear the thought of watching them go hungry, or thrown at streets, while I am still alive.
I want to see them smile. I want to smile back at them. I want them to feel that, despite everything happening around us, their father is still here.
That is why I keep showing up. That is why I keep posting. That is why I keep asking for your support, even when I am exhausted, even when it hurts, even when I have nothing left in me.
Because as long as I am still alive, I will keep fighting to keep my children alive, too.
