Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

as bad as things have gotten in the past 4 days, they are going to get a lot worse before they get better. security leaders, never let a crisis go to waste: please go to your boards and ask for help right now. not for ai, for the basics. (we need to hold on for ~18 months.)

In 1971, Unix cut through the sprawl of disks, terminals and devices with one decision: everything is a file. AlgoX2 just raised $10M to make the same move for data in motion: everything is a stream. The round is a $10M seed extension co-led by @BessemerVP and @Fin_Capital_VC, with @alumniventures, Somersault Ventures, Octave, @MotivateVC and AAL VC participating. AlgoX2 is a Data Streaming Operating System — one engine that handles streaming, processing and storage, so teams stop stitching together a patchwork of separate systems. The founders are the kind of people you want rebuilding your plumbing. Alexei Lebedev was chief software architect at the New York Stock Exchange; Vladimir Parizhsky co-founded Algo Technologies, the high-frequency trading technology shop; @george__levin runs the business side. Together, Lebedev and Parizhsky rebuilt the NYSE's trading engine to a 16-microsecond roundtrip — at the time, Nasdaq's INET was touted as second-fastest at 250. George Levin described the bottleneck they walked out of finance with: modern applications — high-frequency trading, IoT, AI assistants, media recommendation systems — all need to scale easily while holding extremely high throughput, and the legacy streaming stack can't do both. So they built one primitive where everything is a stream, drop-in compatible with Kafka, Redis, NATS and MQTT — teams can switch without changing a line of code. The numbers: up to 10x higher throughput and up to 90% lower total cost than legacy stacks, with no latency trade-off (their claims). It's been tested in production with design partners and at scale by AI-native companies. This round funds the move from design partnerships to general availability — AlgoX2 Cloud plus an open-source version, with the product team led by Addison Higham, formerly group product manager of Confluent Cloud. A week ago we saw Feldera's $21.5M streaming-computation round. Two bets on the data-in-motion layer in seven days — the checkbooks keep funding the layer that feeds the models while everyone else argues about the models themselves. @NextBigTeng at Bessemer framed the bet exactly right: "Every so often, a simple idea changes how software gets built. Unix did it with 'everything is a file,' and AlgoX2 is doing it for data in motion with 'everything is a stream.'" And Logan Allin at Fin Capital called the bigger wave: "Every wave of computing has been defined by its data layer... AlgoX2 is building it, and I think it ends up as fundamental to software that makes its own decisions as the database was to the web." Bessemer led the $3.5M seed a year ago and is back co-leading the extension. Congrats Alexei, Vladimir, and George, and the entire AlgoX2 team. Up and to the right my friends! 💥🚀💪

When we founded @circle, our ambition was to make money work like the internet: open, global and programmable. Today’s @Arc launch is a big step toward that ambition. And I’m proud that the team at @catena_labs is live on Arc from Day 1. Programmable money takes on new importance with AI agents. Businesses can delegate financial authority to agents while retaining control at multiple layers. Rules are enforced in the money flows themselves, outside the AI, with evidence people can independently verify. Congratulations to @jerallaire, @0xrachelita, @chandhok and all my friends and colleagues on the Circle and Arc teams!
Arc Mainnet is live. Arc launches as the Economic OS for the internet: an open platform for global markets, real-time value movement, tokenized assets, and agentic economic activity. Arc is more than a blockchain. It launches as a full-stack financial platform with assets, applications, interoperability, developer infrastructure, and Circle platform services live from day one. Arc delivers USDC as native gas, deterministic sub-second finality, EVM compatibility, and institutional validators. It integrates with Arc Studio, App Kits, Arc Portal, Circle Agent Stack, CCTP, Gateway, CPN, and StableFX. A complete economic platform at genesis. Arc launches with infrastructure for: → Agentic economic workflows → Lending and borrowing → Trading and liquidity → Onchain FX → Payments and settlement → Tokenized assets → Exchanges, wallets, custody, compliance, data, and developer tooling 190+ institutional and ecosystem builders are building across Arc.

Last month I wrote about how we can build a positive and safe future for everyone: meta.com/thefutureisforevery… Every lab has the responsibility and incentive to move at the pace required to train its models safely, and the ability to take its own actions to ensure that happens. The reality is: - People won't want to use agents that are misaligned with them and that don't do what they ask, so labs have a strong natural incentive to make their models more aligned. There is a lot of debate about slowing progress on capabilities until alignment catches up. My view is that trust and alignment are quickly becoming the most important capabilities that will differentiate agents and models. Any lab that doesn't focus on alignment will fall behind. - Labs face significant liability if their models cause harm, so they have a strong incentive to prevent this as well. Meta delayed shipping Muse for several months to focus on safety and security. We didn't call for everyone else to do this before we would. We just did it as part of our day-to-day work because it was clearly the right thing for people and for us. I'm proud of the security foundations we've built. - Engaging independent evaluators and advisors is industry best practice. MSL already does this today in several areas because it helps produce better work. Other labs can just do this too. In general, it would be helpful for there to be a larger and more diverse ecosystem of evaluators. - Committing the significant majority of compute towards serving people rather than racing towards recursive self-improvement is one of the best ways to ensure we develop this technology safely. Meta has made this commitment and other labs can do this as well. I believe the key to building a positive future for everyone is maintaining the right balance of power. This is within our power to do.

Requiring a safety case before a capability run is the right instinct. The enterprise version: require evidence before authority expands, not after, and suspend that authority when the evidence no longer holds. xitter.cf/puneetmehtanyc/status/…
Frontier labs are debating how fast AI capability should advance. Enterprises face a different question: what authority should an AI agent receive—and what evidence should cause that authority to be withdrawn?

@DarioAmodei, @sama and @demishassabis are debating how fast the frontier should move. Sit inside a Fortune 500 company and the problem looks different. The decision today isn't how fast the next model arrives. It's what the current one is allowed to do, and what revokes that permission when the evidence changes. Slowing the frontier doesn't build the operating model the Fortune 500 needs for the intelligence already here. Two different problems. The labs are working the first. This is the second.

I’ve said many times that the CLARITY Act is essential to ensuring America wins the global race for new technology. That’s the reason Congress passed the GENIUS Act: to ensure that stablecoin infrastructure, a revolutionary financial technology, will be built in America. Ensuring that America’s community bank sector continues to thrive has been a constant focus of mine since day one. And the administration’s dual focus on enabling new digital technology to flourish and appropriately tailoring community bank regulation is key to both sectors driving U.S. economic growth together over the next several decades. The final draft of the CLARITY Act furthers this mission. It gives the Secretary of the Treasury additional authority to act if the facts around deposit flight change to the detriment of community banks. If stablecoins cause harm to community banks, I will not hesitate to use these tools to ensure they remain fully protected. Community banks are essential to U.S. economic performance and Main Street growth. Economic security is national security, and community banks play a major role in this principle.

It’s time for CLARITY. This is a huge moment for the Senate and one of the most anticipated votes in modern financial policy history. YES.
The bipartisan GENIUS Act established U.S. law for digital dollars. The Senate's new CLARITY draft provides a strong, much-needed framework for digital asset markets. This is a historic opportunity to provide certainty, enhance protections, and strengthen U.S. crypto market leadership. We encourage lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to keep engaging toward a durable, bipartisan outcome.
