At @SATRIX_SA, it's time for Africa.
That's the only Shakira reference in this podcast, but it's certainly not the only insight.
Listen to Duma Mxenge explain how Satrix thinks about African capital markets:

Generally, I think it's debatable whether these are the brands people actually want to be seen with these days.
The cost of living is so high. People are struggling. You really want to be carrying a bag that costs the same as someone's car?
Luckily Unlock the Stock never gets rained out...
About to hear from the management team of Calgro M3.
Looking forward to the Q&A!

Ghost Mail just went out.
With such juicy commentary from CMH that is relevant to any car buyer, I had to focus on that company in Ghost Bites.
I think it's a great read and a good excuse to subscribe to my mailer if you aren't already a reader:

CMH on the Chinese brands:
"The used car market has proven to be particularly difficult. The influx of Chinese/Asian brands that were introduced into the market at discount prices some four to five years ago are now at the recycle stage. However, the sharp depreciation in value of these vehicles has surprised owners and forced them to hold on for longer, until the trade-in values align with the residual amounts owed to banks"
Blessing for today:
May you work with the speed and clarity that helped the CMH finance team move from trading statement to detailed interim results in the space of one day.
May we all be so talented!
It's bank earnings season in the US!

You have to be quite careful with the $KARO cash flow statement.
The impact of heavy investment in additional telematics devices doesn't sit in working capital as you might expect.
It's on the PPE line, which is why free cash flow over six months is only R100m vs. R358m prior.
Karooooo:
"Owing to our accelerated growth, increased lead times and ongoing memory price increases, IoT devices held for future use increased by ZAR332 million, or 92%, to ZAR694 million"
AI-driven price spikes continue to affect all kinds of sectors.
