Love is not easy. It takes hard work dedication and effort. Loving our students follows the same process. We must put in the effort, dedicate time and energy, and choose to daily to show them the love they deserve.

Sometimes it kills me how much I care about these kids. I lose sleep and time in my personal life, but I can’t not take care of them. #teacherprobs @HSTeachProbs

Students like it when you show up at their events. The parents do too. It’s a big deal.

History of Jazz & Blues in my #AfricanAmericanHistory class. Glad SHS has a talented jazz band that was able to come help me model the songs that I want my students to create. "Blues is a tonic for whatever ails you. I could play the blues and then not be blue anymore." #BBKing

No matter what the situation is with a student you must make sure you are either building or maintaining the relationship. Trust, not fear. Collaboration, not compliance. Our interactions with kids matter. – at Broadview Heights, OH
