Regardless of one’s political point of view, there is widespread agreement that we have a corrupt campaign finance system. Our job: overturn Citizens United, end super PACs and move to public funding of elections. Democracy means one person, one vote. Not billionaires buying elections.

Rep. Haley Stevens’ staff is right to resign in disgust. They understand that the election in Michigan is far more important than Haley’s fragile ego and that all of us must stand together to elect Abdul, defeat Rogers and end the Republican rubber-stamp control of the Senate.
New: Statement from Haley Stevens’ chief of staff Justin German confirms many of her team have resigned & they back Abdul El-Sayed for #MISen “We are shocked and heartbroken by Congresswoman Stevens’ decision to support Mike Rogers.”

So, Israel (a nuclear-armed state) is pushing the U.S. (a nuclear-armed state) to nuke Iran (not a nuclear-armed state) because Iran is a “nuclear threat.” It’s the same logic that tells you genocide is “self-defense.”
Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war. To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha. The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people. And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final. We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it. Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made. They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making. One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.

front seat is not for mothers, wives, or sisters. It's reserved for fathers and brothers. a man who is not Dayooth will never let his wife, mother, or sister sit in the front seat, because people can see thru the front mirrors who is sitting in the car.

Let me tell you something. During my teacher training at a government school in Delhi, I once walked into an unattended Class 9 classroom. It was an all-boys section with around 60 students. I asked them about their dreams and what they wanted to become when they grew up. One student stood up and said, "Madam ji, mujhe Ranbir Kapoor ki Animal movie jaisa gunda banna hai." Nearly 90% of the other students (and I'm not exaggerating this number) cheered him on and joined in, saying, "Yes, ma'am, we want to be one too." Yes, that was their DREAM. That day, I realised just how deeply young, impressionable minds can be influenced by the glorification of violence in movies and television shows.

Jake is an ignoramus, not qualified by any scholar in any school of thought in Islamic Jurisprudence, who speaks without knowledge, and here: without giving the full understanding of a ruling, leading people to believe such stupid things in Islam. Calling out names is not my norm, but this is a necessary clarification: The majority of scholars have said that intent of divorce is not a disqualifier to the contract, yes. What does this mean? It means the two parties are not doing the major sin of Zinaa. But what did the prophet ﷺ say about such people? “From the greatest of sins to Allah: a man who marries a woman, then when he fulfills his desires with her, then he divorces her.” What else? “He who deceives us, is not from us.” And he ﷺ left us with final guidance: to be good to your wives. Yet this ignoramus says “no you can’t tell her your plan to divorce her,” as if this deception and lack of being good to your wife, is permitted. So is it the majority opinion that this is allowed? No, it’s not. The overwhelming majority of scholars prohibit this action in totality, but the prohibition does not mean invalidity. To clarify that, here are some examples: - It is prohibited to look at an uncovered woman while praying, but the prayer is still valid. - It is prohibited to wear skin-tight clothing while praying, but the prayer is still valid. - It is prohibited to fast on Eid, but if one did, it is a valid fast. • Likewise, it is absolutely prohibited to marry with the intent of divorce, but the contract is valid. So how did the author of the video below, put this? I quote: “There is the opinion that you CAN get married with the intent of divorce” — No, there is no such “opinion.” “I wanna be clear on: the marriage CONTRACT is valid.” — The only correct thing he said. Someone asks “So I can hit it with this girl and then just dip?”, then Ignoramus: “Yes.” — No, a Muslim cannot engage in such behavior. “They don’t say that its a good thing.” — This is misleading. In Fiqh this statement would mean it is merely discouraged/makruh, which is not the case. The other person understands from this enough to say “You gotta be cold to do that tho!” — Exactly what the ignoramus gives the idea of by speaking without an ounce of knowledge. “I dont wanna give people shubuhaat” — What? Are you mentally deranged or something? This ENTIRE video where you speak with such foolishness and lack of wisdom, to the public, and then give a half-baked fatwa without clarifying… and then you want to say “I dont wanna give people doubts”? These people are an example of why you as other people need to refer to scholars for your issues, not idiots on TikTok. The guy in the background says “Marry a girl, with the intent of ‘im just going to whack that sh** and dip?!” And the idiot laughs saying “Its not a good thing, but…” ??????? Then he asks AI for clarification. Insane. Worst of all: “I BELIEVE ITS HALAL!” — Believe whatever you want, the Prophet ﷺ already responded to your stupidity and your stupid fatwa, ignorant and arrogant old man with no sense of wisdom or shame. Stick to debating christians and get out of the Islamic sciences until you actually learn them. You make a fool of ISLAM (and yourself) otherwise, and you WILL be asked about every word that because of which, people turned away from Islam, such as this entire video.
I am done, Salaam.
Here’s @MMetaphysician saying the quiet part out loud: It’s perfectly okay in Islam to “marry” a woman while secretly intending to divorce her later…Just don’t let her know your plan.

I just canceled my Full Self Driving subscription, and I’m posting this in hopes someone at @Tesla sees and can fix the most recent update. My car tried to kill me 4x yesterday. It’s veering off the road randomly and slamming on the breaks on highways for no reason. FSD has gone from the biggest selling point for owning a Tesla to a serious liability. From significantly safer than a human to outright dangerous to use. This new update (2026.38.5.11 HW3) should not have been released. This is going to kill people and Tesla needs to do something as soon as possible. @elonmusk
