Delta Airlines customer service is like Bigfoot...talked about but never witnessed...waiting for CSR return text for 5 hours...”we’re experiencing higher call volumes than usual” yeah, that’s what it is...SMH #delta

This is a reason why there is a lack of consensus on lytics for #stroke: - 13 foundational RCTs - 4 stopped early for harm or futility - 8 of 13 used tPA - Only 2 reported benefit for primary outcome - Neither were replicated -Both reanalyzed & failed to confirm benefit.

You're looking at more than 35,000 helicopter patient missions since 1984, without a single accident.

I call it another day in the ICU....With the addition of a non-gap metabolic acidosis of course
what do you call it when someone gets a 30 cc/kg fluid bolus, develops pulmonary edema, and then 30 cc/kg is diuresed off... intravascular lavage? renal tubule clense? #DiuresisJedi

Starting at 10 mcg/kg/min post intubation in the ED with a plan to start low and titrate up is not a clever move...and don’t forget concomitant analgesia!
Yes! 🙌🏼 Don’t forget propofol bolus when starting infusion-otherwise will take ages to get patient to therapeutic level & you’ll frantically bolus as pt tries to self extubate😳Starting 40 mcg/kg/min & no bolus ➡️ >10 min to deliver 0.5 mg/kg-by then it’s partially metabolized...

Perhaps a little lower in the ICU when I work there because there the patients are sedated by shock but in the ED it’s substantially more applicable
Congrats to my colleagues Jason Peng and Ellen Parsley...first ever Sim Cup victory for UC Air Care!

Don’t be shy managing status epilepticus, I’m more worried about stopping the seizure than I am stopping the breathing.
⚡️🧠⚡️status epilepticus ⚡️🧠⚡️ Why is your 80 kg pt still seizing after lorazepam 2 mg IV f/b Keppra 1g IV? Stop the subtherapeutic dosing with Yvonne’s @TILEDPharmD new #pharmacyeducationboard! #twitterx #medtwitter #nursingtwitter #emergency
