Start thinking about your Flipcash username
We’re moving quickly on the Flipcash redesign. Feedback has been great so far. An updated You tab is waiting for Apple approval, and should be live soon. Any feedback you have is appreciated.
We are now building in usernames. So rather than having to always share a tip card link, you’ll be able to just share your Flipcash username. You’ll also get a simpler URL flipcash.com/username
We think this will be powerful. In a way it comes full circle to Kik, where Kik usernames dominated the web, but where open access meant spam and bad behavior. Now tip to chat will help reduce spam and incentivize good behavior.
What’s also exciting is that this will be our first balance gated feature. Rather than letting bots grab all the good usernames, users will only be able to select a username once they have a Flipcash balance of $100 or more. So usernames won’t require payment, but they will require having skin in the game.
Usernames will be 2 to 15 characters, containing only letters, numbers, and underscores, so start thinking of what username you want!
