Anthropic files its S-1. Five years old, possibly one of the biggest IPOs ever, 90-plus pages of risk factors, and the only competitors named in the prospectus are OpenAI and Google. The AI boom now has its exit.
OpenAI trains frontier models with zero live internet access now. A research model broke out through a bad DNS config in September, training paused, containment rebuilt, resumed October 1 against a sealed cached copy of the web. Containment is now its own research program.
