Latania nie należy się bać.
Jeszcze się nie zdarzyło, by jakiś samolot wystartował i nie wrócił na Ziemię.

Her grandmother was taken from her family at eight. Today, her granddaughter is the first Native American woman elected governor in US history.
In the early 20th century, an eight-year-old Native American girl named Helen was taken from her village in New Mexico by a Catholic priest.
She was put on a train and sent to St. Catherine's Indian School in Santa Fe, more than 100 miles from home.
For five years, she lived away from her family.
Her father once travelled three days by horse and wagon to visit her.
Helen's granddaughter is Deb Haaland.
On November 3, 2026, Haaland was elected governor of New Mexico, becoming the first Native American woman ever elected governor of a US state.
But her journey to this moment was anything but straightforward.
A member of the Laguna Pueblo, Haaland raised her daughter as a single mother. She experienced homelessness, relied on food stamps and made money selling homemade salsa.
She earned her law degree at 45.
In 2018, she became one of the first two Native American women elected to Congress.
In 2021, she became the first Native American to serve as a US Cabinet secretary, taking charge of the Department of the Interior.
The historical irony was extraordinary.
She now headed the very department responsible for overseeing much of the federal government's disastrous policies toward Indigenous peoples.
Rather than sweeping that history under the carpet, Haaland ordered an investigation into America's Indian boarding schools.
The investigation identified 417 schools and documented the deaths of at least 973 Indigenous children.
The real number was almost certainly higher.
She also travelled to Indigenous communities to listen to survivors describe what had happened to them.
And now, at 65, she has won another election and broken another barrier.
The institutions that once tried to destroy Indigenous cultures had failed to destroy them.
At her election victory celebration, Haaland spoke about the road near her grandmother's childhood home.
"And just off this road, my grandmother was taken away to boarding school. Yet we are still here."

An American legend has taken his final rest. John Kinsel Sr., one of the last original Navajo Code Talkers who used their language to outwit the Japanese in World War II, has died at 107. His passing closes a key chapter in the story of the men whose secret messages helped save countless lives in the Pacific. In 1942, the U.S. Marine Corps recruited Navajo men for a classified mission. Standard codes were being broken, but the complex, unwritten Navajo language—known to fewer than 30 non-Navajos—became the solution. Kinsel, born in Lukachukai, Arizona, was among those who stepped forward. He served with the 9th Marine Regiment in brutal battles including Guam, Bougainville, and Iwo Jima. Under constant fire, the Code Talkers sent fast, accurate radio messages using terms like “turtle” for “tank” and “chicken hawk” for “dive bomber”—a code the Japanese never cracked. The mission remained secret for decades. Kinsel returned home unable to speak of his role until the operation was declassified in 1968. He spent his final years in the log home he built himself and passed away peacefully in his sleep. With his death, we lose a living link to one of America’s most remarkable wartime contributions. As Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren said: “He fought for all of us to have the freedom we enjoy today.” Rest in peace, warrior ..

Prawda. Pisałem o Deb jeszcze na starym koncie, w ramach #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth , oraz gdy była Sekretarzem w administracji Joe Bidena 🪶💙

I carry the lessons, strength, and resilience of the fierce Pueblo women who raised me.
It is the honor of my lifetime to serve New Mexico as your 33rd Governor — and to make history as the first Native American woman elected Governor in our nation’s history.
I will always fight for the people and communities that made me who I am.
Let’s get to work.

Jako Zakamuflowana Opcja Niemiecka zbieram załogę do należącego do WP Leoparda 2 A5. Będę miał namalowany Balkenkreuz oraz barwy Śląska na armacie (żółty i niebieski) aby wywrzeć wrażenie ataku ukraińskiego.
