Q: How do you balance these definitions of “serious harm/distress” with a parent bringing up a stroppy teenager?
Just watch:

Brilliant questioning here from @NazShahBfd of Professor Ilias Trispiotis: she forces him to concede that - yes, ordinary parental conversations with their children will fall under the scope of this Bill and they will be criminalised

It is with great sadness that Elke Sommer has passed away at the age of 85. Best known to Carry On fans as Professor Vooshka in Carry On Behind. A German-born American actress who appeared in countless films during the 1960s and 1970s. I shall be watching Behind in tribute. ❤️

Interesting. I suspect TRAs did not anticipate this angle.

"They say they’re afraid to raise concerns because he is surrounded by ‘allies’, including staff, who defend his appearance as 'self-expression'"👇
This is the human cost of Oxford University's relentless 'Allyship' peddling*. A culture where students are afraid to complain about being lectured by Mr massive fake tits.
*One word may have been added to this poster that was on display in @OxfordBiology for several years 🦔
I’ve now been contacted by numerous people about the ‘Boob Man of Oxford’.
Those who work or study at Oxford have asked for anonymity, so I can’t share identifying details. But some common themes have emerged:
- Unsurprisingly, women describe feeling uncomfortable about a male lecturer wearing what appear to be oversized prosthetic breasts in their place of work or study
- Some question whether there is a sexual element or whether it is a ‘power play’. These are their concerns, rather than established explanations for his behaviour - but are legitimate concerns nonetheless
- They say they’re afraid to raise concerns because he is surrounded by ‘allies’, including staff, who defend his appearance as 'self-expression'
One source has even wondered whether this is an elaborate stunt to embarrass the university - along the lines of Josh Seiter, who pretended to be a trans woman as an 'experiment'. Another source says this has been going on for three years - which does seem a long time to keep up the act.
There is interest in covering this in the mainstream press. What would help now is more documentary evidence: complaint letters, responses or correspondence showing how concerns have been handled.

Another day, another reminder that biology matters; particularly in women's sport! Some sporting bodies seem determined to overlook basic anatomy and physiology when making decisions about female sporting categories.
But here's something fascinating...🧬 DID YOU KNOW?
A 2017 scientific study identified more than 6,500 genes showing different levels of expression between males and females in at least one human tissue.
That's not 6,500 different genes exclusive to either sex; it's evidence that biological sex influences how genes function throughout the body. And that's before we consider the well-established average differences in muscle mass, strength, skeletal structure and the effects of male puberty that matter in many competitive sports.
Women's sport deserves fairness, safety and meaningful recognition of biological differences.

And while we're at it, let's stop being afraid to use clear, accurate language.
Women. Girls. Mothers. Pregnant women.
These words matter.

Remind me how why we are supposed to celebrate a straight woman who felt her fictive identity as a gay man was validated by dying of AIDS.

I’m in tears. I’m grateful to everyone helping me. And my heart is breaking for this little boy. He isn’t doing all that hot. It’s his kidneys and he is anemic. The doctor told me tons of stuff I can hardly remember. Thank you to everyone sharing this! I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you all.
Bruiser could use a cup of coffee if anyone would consider helping him out. He is pretty anemic. The doctor isn’t sure what’s going on but words like cancer were thrown around. I have some meds to give him. He will get rechecked in 2 weeks. buymeacoffee.com/bruiserthec…
