When considering #LUNC proposal #12228 for a blockchain audit by SolidProof @SolidProof_io with the implementation of fixes by OrbitLabs @orbit__labs it is important to consider the existing PPJ system on-chain. PPJ was passed in proposal #11889 in November of 2023, and applies to Terra Classic L1 developers who were transitioning from a L1TF monthly payment system to maintain and develop the chain to a pay-per-job model validator.info/terra-classic…. PPJ does NOT apply to external auditors, who are like contractors performing an expert service, and require payment up front in order to meet their own company needs. This would be standard for any audit of the chain. As for the implementation of fixes by OrbitLabs, this is under standard PPJ to be paid after the work is completed, as they are Terra Classic L1 developers working on-chain. The PPJ rules were never made or intended to apply to an auditing entity like SolidProof, and the proposal states an exemption to PPJ should be made in this case. SolidProof @SolidProof_io is a reputable German blockchain security company, and I am confident they will deliver a quality service to the #LUNC community upon the passing of the proposal. 🤝🛡 The following are advantages of passing the audit proposal: 👇✅️ - Detailed audit scope. - Full contract from SolidProof available for review linked in the governance proposal. - Payment made fully in LUNC directly to SolidProof, no need for multisigs. - OrbitLabs who completed the chains Cosmos SDK v0.53 upgrade will work with SolidProof and implement the required fixes according to standard PPJ. - A final audit report will be delivered after the implementation of changes. - Enhancing the security of Terra Classic, reducing risk of exchange delistings, and potentially encouraging listings on further exchanges due to a current reputable security audit. I see that Jake Collis @HappyCatKripto owner of HappyCattyCrypto validator, has voted no with veto on #LUNC governance proposal #12224, which aims to direct funding to the oracle pool with the goal of benefiting all #LUNC stakers. 😑 Instead of supporting this good proposal, in his YouTube video he calls the proposal "greedy" with "zero benefit", and that it will only bring benefit to validators, even while he acknowledges it will help replenish the oracle pool. He makes a cursory and mocking mention that it would result in more rewards for stakers. This is a complete contradiction as the oracle pool is the primary source of staking rewards for all #LUNC investors on chain. All stakers would benefit from proposal #12224, not just validators. 🤔 Speaking of validators, a #LUNC staker has the choice to stake with validators for as little as 2.5% commission, meaning they can ordinarily get up to 97.5% of the rewards. With delegates getting the vast majority of the rewards from the oracle pool, how is the proposal to DOUBLE the funding rate to the oracle pool from 0.15% to 0.30% of the tax "greedy"? This rhetoric makes no sense at all and demonstrates either a complete lack of understanding of the core mechanics of the chain or an intentional deception. 🚨🐍 If he wants to complain about validator commissions, he and Strathcole, whom he worked with, were instrumental in the implementation of forced dynamic validator commissions on chain. He complains about the commission of top validators DutchLunc and Allnodes while he is responsible for them having a forced 20% commission, then says he wants to unfairly cap their voting power! This is absurd, and is a problem of his own making. 😂 In his video he gives the example to his delegates of the chain only having $100,000 in savings but fails to mention the current cap put forward in proposal #12224 is worth over $600,000 USD at current low market prices, and that the community pool fills as normal when under the cap. 🙃 He mentions he has allegedly spent over $100,000 on his own projects as an example, as if this would mean the #LUNC chain would ever fund something like his projects, which are an unfinished Penguin video game, Penguin NFTs, and a wallet with analytics tools (of which there are many other free options available on chain). 😅 He continues to go on and on about greediness, though this proposal would help his own stakers and all #LUNC stakers. He also showed his poor judgment by voting against the 1.5% tax which the #LUNC community recently passed, and is still complaining about it, and he voted against the tax raise from 0.2% to 0.5% 3 years ago. 🫢 He is completely against funding the oracle pool, which is vital to the future of the chain, and improving rewards for #LUNC stakers, but is VERY concerned about projects like his receiving community pool funding.
