I am thrilled to announce the upcoming publication of my book, ‘TRAILBLAZERS: The Groundbreaking History of #NFFC.’
It charts the Reds’ remarkable pioneering history; their amazing ‘firsts’, the innovations they have introduced, and their many, many unique achievements.

My book ‘TRAILBLAZERS’ is now available in paperback.
A bit smaller, and a bit cheaper. And, if you haven’t read it yet, a fantastic story about the pioneering exploits of the mighty #NFFC.
I will also be continuing to donate my personal royalties to @Forza_Garibaldi.
Enjoy!
I’m still trying to work out who has stock but there are a few places via the publishers website… Amazon, Hive and Blackwells certainly are stocking the paperback.
I expect it will land elsewhere too before too long.

A Goose Fair inspired sketch from ‘T.F’ featured in the Football Post. It depicts a Notts County figure juggling a ball on his head and a Forest character seemingly beating a drum over to the left.
Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to determine the date but I would suggest 1950s.

This sketch goes all the way back to October 1903 and shows Forest and Notts chasing league points against their opponents shown here as geese.
The Reds lost 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.
5 years ago today.
A 2-0 win at Huddersfield under Steven Reid, with Steve Cooper waiting in the wings.
The turning point? Very possibly.
#NFFC facing tonight’s opponents Barcelona in pre-season back in 1983, and coming up against Diego Maradona…
Footage of #NFFC competing in a pre-season tournament at Barcelona in August 1983, including a superb goal from Diego Maradona. The Argentinian left the pitch with a yellow Forest shirt he had exchanged at full time.
The game ended 2-0 to Barca in front of 40,000 spectators.

I’m on BBC 5 Live around half ten this morning contributing to an ongoing series on iconic football stadiums - this week’s it’s the City Ground.
Mark Crossley and I are joining Colin Murray.
Give it a listen, if you can. Unless you are already in the pub for pre-match by then!
This is an excellent follow up from @DavidMarples to the original collection of iconic goals from #NFFC folklore he published in 2018.

It’s marvellous to recount recent years via some of the most cherished moments we all witnessed unfold.
Concluding in 2024/25, the only real downside is that we don’t get this season’s European campaign in the mix.
But hopefully those can land in the next instalment one day.
