I've been a Tales of fan since high school, I really love the series, but Tales of Arise was so fucking mid. The story in particular felt like it copied ideas from older games without understanding them and the combat, while promising at first, became a SLOG at the end. Fuck man.

Final Fantasy Resonance Producer Keisuke Nakashima says Square Enix execs initially wanted a cheap and simple port of Brave Exvius but he fought to make a full-blown original console version!
“Initially there was some resistance to the idea from Square Enix executives.”
“I didn’t want to go down that route. I wanted to create an original version for consoles that was a full-blown gameplay experience.”
“It was really disappointing to hear people didn’t want to play it just because of the gacha elements. That was another reason we wanted to make this a console game, to bring it to a wider audience.”

Sony wants to adopt “Intelligent Pricing”, which means using AI to raise/determine prices🚀
✅Sony is hiring a Senior Director for Digital Games Monetization on the PlayStation Store to maximize publisher content performance.
✅Driving the adoption and evolution of Intelligent Pricing and expanding the Targeted Offers program.
✅Championing innovative pricing, promotions, and commercial optimization across the Store and direct-to-consumer channels.
✅Leveraging data, automation, and AI to improve publisher outcomes and strengthen PlayStation’s commercial edge.
✅The job listing does not specify exact implementation details or how Intelligent Pricing will function.

And this is exactly why we need physical media to continue to be produced for all games.
This is the type of corrupt and greedy company that Sony is, and they neither deserve our money nor our trust, and their plan to end physical media is FALSELY based on a fake narrative to cover up for the fact that they just want to extort more money from players
✅Eliminate options and second hand
✅Create a monopoly
✅Raise prices on a whim
✅Keep your tied to their morally bankrupt ecosystem
