We have the technology to #decarbonise now, so why are we waiting?
Our Founder, Andrew Forrest, took the stage at #WEF23 to encourage world leaders to join us in the race to #RealZero.

McKinsey & Co have projected that momentum is strong for hydrogen yet more needs to be done.
The question is… Can the global economy develop the projects we need to reach #RealZero?
We have green initiatives around the globe from Kenya to Brazil, Norway to USA. We are also very active in Australia with our research and development in Perth, electrolyser manufacturing in Gladstone and #greenhydrogen and #greenammonia facility in Gibson Island, Queensland 🌏
McKinsey & Co have calculated that we need to crank up #electrolysis capacity to get to our 2030 target of 200GW. So far, we’ve achieved only 700MW.
Can we overcome the constraints of government and supply chains to get there?
Voices young and old are marching here in New York to demand world leaders stop subsiding fossil fuels.
We are honoured to stand with them.

To achieve Real Zero by 2030 across our Australian iron ore operations, we are testing and deploying well-established technologies. ✔
We are taking practical steps to apply the best solution to each different situation.
Deloitte have forecast that ammonia, hydrogen, methanol and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) projects will start delivering profits over the next few decades and will therefore open global market opportunities. 💲
In the timeline and beyond, what opportunities lie ahead? 💡
McKinsey & Co calculate that North America is expected to be among the top regions globally where US hydrogen production will account for 20% of global production. 🚚 🚗
Which countries are going to follow? ⤵️
The analysts at Deloitte anticipate that Australia will become one of the world’s biggest exporters of #GreenHydrogen.
We need to:
➡️ Boost the visibility and credibility of developments.
➡️ Assist projects by reducing barriers to entry.
➡️ Boost infrastructure.
Installing solar panels or switching your stove to electric is great. But it won’t stop #ClimateChange.
It’s the industrial world, some our heaviest emitters (like us 🙋), who have the biggest role to play.
We’ve set a target to reach #RealZero by 2030. Join us on this race. 😎
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has declared that the “climate collapse has begun.”

Climate change is not a tomorrow problem, it is a killer today.
Join us in the race to Real Zero.
Say hi 👋 to some of our young Kenyan friends from schools nearby our planned green ammonia project in Naivasha.
Together we showed the @AYCAssembly2023 how to make green hydrogen using:
💦 water
+
⚡ electrolysers

☀️ sunlight

Economies in the Asia Pacific dominate the global emissions horizon and solutions to climate change must start here and must work here.
As a step forward, we convened regional leaders in Perth to address:
👉 regulatory barriers
👉 technology costs
👉 project pipelines
#WATCH: The time to act is now.
Today, Dr Andrew Forrest AO convened leaders from across the Asia-Pacific.
Here in Perth, we agreed green technology must rapidly scale up now.
We must hold ourselves to account for the choices we make today.

Brazil has all the building blocks to be a leader in the global #GreenHydrogen trade. 🌍
Our team today met with the Governor of Ceará to chat about our project in Pecém, emphasising the importance of creating legislation that incentivises #GreenEnergy projects in the region. 🤝

Green hydrogen has emerged as a viable technology in the global transition to a sustainable energy future. Africa is well positioned to produce low cost green hydrogen to meet domestic and global energy demand for hard to abate sectors.
Had a fruitful meeting with the @FortescueFuture team where we discussed the progress of their green fertilizer project in Kenya and the substantial socioeconomic and environmental benefits. The team was joined by @Austrade East Africa Manager @brendawabule

Global investment trends are set.
The world is on a race to zero.
The question is no longer if or why — it’s whether countries want their businesses and their communities to reap the rewards.
