Mom comes home and asks what you ate for dinner. You made this. Zero dishes. She's impressed.
Foil pack hamburger and potatoes. 30 minutes in the oven.
Six ounces of potatoes, quarter onion, olive oil, salt, pepper on the bottom. Six ounce hamburger patty seasoned with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper on top. Garlic butter and parsley over everything. Fold up the foil. 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Open it up, add shredded cheese, two more minutes.
660 calories, 46g protein, 37g carbs, 36g fat.
Lean athlete looking to put on weight? Add a dinner roll on the side.
Athletes can make this themselves. Parents can scale it up for the whole family one foil pack per athlete, same oven, same time.

College athletes in dorms. Younger athletes home alone. This one's for both of you.
Air fryer pizza roll. Five minutes. No excuses.
Cheese stick rolled in a tortilla, pizza sauce, five pepperonis, mozzarella, teaspoon of melted butter on the edges. 380 degrees for seven minutes until golden brown and crispy.
393 calories, 19g protein, 27g carbs, 23g fat.
Want more protein? Add hamburger meat or sausage. Same roll, better macros.
Don't wait for mom and dad to get home saying you've been starving all afternoon. Make this yourself.
And college athletes save your parents' credit card. Cheese, pizza sauce, and a tortilla cost next to nothing.

Trick or treat. Coach Fouts is giving you a cheat snack today.
Graveyard dirt balls. Yes there are Oreos in these. No he's not sorry.
Honey, peanut butter, baking cacao, whole milk, nine crushed Oreos, two scoops vanilla grass-fed whey protein. Mix it up, roll into balls, coat in crushed Oreos.
Per ball: 160 calories, 7g protein, 17.5g carbs, 8g fat. Makes 12.
Can you have a cheat day? No. Can you have a cheat snack you actually earned? Yes.
Happy Halloween. Enjoy it.

All the Big Mac flavor. Heats up perfect at school.
Big Mac loaf. Athletes can make this themselves.
Store-bought dough layered with 14 ounces of seasoned ground beef, American cheese, pickles, sautΓ©ed onions, Big Mac sauce ketchup, mayo, yellow mustard, pickle juice. Fold it over, egg wash on top, sesame seeds, score it. 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
Cut into four slices: 613 calories, 38g protein, 53g carbs, 28g fat per slice.
Bigger athlete? Two slices. Throw it in the bento box and lunch is handled.
Tastes exactly like a Big Mac.

Life lately.
Beckett β 9 tackles Friday night. That boy is working.
Pearson β 5 home runs as a college freshman. Loving his coaches, loving his teammates, loving the process. Proud doesnβt even cover it.
CorVive is growing. MLB players are already using our Hydrate and burning through it!
Had the opportunity to speak at the Lake Ridge baseball team and at the Prosper YMSL moms October meeting on nutrition. Getting to share this message with different communities is something Iβm truly grateful for.
Been putting in a lot of work on Fouts Nutrition behind the scenes that you havenβt seen yet. More recipes, more resources, more ways to help your athlete fuel right. Canβt share everything just yet but itβs coming.
To everyone who has supported this journey thank you. It means everything to this family.
Stay tuned. The best is ahead.
I spoke to the Lake Ridge baseball team this week. I asked how many of them want to play college baseball.
Every hand went up.
Then I told them the truth.
There is not one thing you can do to make a more dramatic difference in your athletic career than taking care of your body from a nutrition standpoint.
College coaches are not going to take a 150 or 160 pound boy. They're just not. And they're not being mean.
They have 34 roster spots. If they don't win, they lose their job. They can't bet on your son developing by his sophomore or junior year. They're taking the 190-200 pound athlete whose metrics already say what he can do with his velo, his speed, and his arm.
Your son hit .400 this summer. Had 20 stolen bases. I hear it all the time from parents.
But a 155 pound boy cannot do what a 185-200 pound athlete can do. The size gap is real and nutrition is how you close it.

Ever been asked to cook for a team dinner and had no idea where to start?
We just did it for the football team tonight. Here's how.
14 pounds of raw chicken thighs marinated overnight in chipotle peppers, adobe sauce, orange juice, lime juice. Grilled at 450 in batches, five to six minutes each side. Sliced up and tossed in a butter, lime, cilantro, chicken broth sauce to keep it fresh and juicy.
Other parents brought hamburger meat and pulled pork. We brought the protein everyone went back for seconds on.
Want the full recipe including the marinade and the whole team dinner guideline? Comment or DM TEAM DINNER and I'll send it to you.

Early morning lift. Nothing in the tank. That's the biggest mistake athletes make.
Get the carbs in before you lift. Always.
Caramel rice cake, thinly sliced apple, drizzle of chocolate and caramel, pinch of cinnamon. Five minutes. Done.
Two rice cakes: 280 calories, 2g protein, 69g carbs, 1g fat.
Don't have caramel? Use honey. Don't have apple? Use banana. Same concept fast carbs to fill the glycogen tank before you train.
Jeremy's eating this right before his own lift today. Do the same.

Another cold lunch. No microwave needed.
Whenever you grill always make extra. Leftover chicken becomes lunch the next day.
Six ounces of grilled chicken, hummus, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, onion. Wrap it up. Add a cup of grapes on the side.
850 calories, 70g protein, 80g carbs, 29g fat. Grapes included.
Don't like hummus? Swap it for ranch, mayo, or cream cheese. Same wrap, different fat source.
Beckett's been out of school two days and he's still eating right. No excuses.

Chick-fil-A just dropped a chicken and waffle sandwich. We made a better one at home.
Kodiak frozen waffles in the oven for five minutes. RealGood gluten-free chicken breast at 400 for 25 minutes. One slice of bacon cut in half. Stack it up. Dip in syrup.
470 calories, 44g protein, 22g carbs, 23g fat.
Beckett tried it. Verdict pretty good. Coming from a football and lacrosse player, that's high praise.
Make five of these on Sunday, wrap in aluminum foil, air fryer or oven in the morning. Breakfast handled all week.
Frozen waffles, frozen chicken, still quality fuel. Moms don't have to stress.

Same ingredients. Two dinners. One Ninja Dual Pot.
French onion beef athlete side and parent side cooking at the same time.
Butter, onion, mushrooms, one pound beef per side, salt, pepper, thyme, garlic, Worcestershire, beef broth. Athlete side gets white rice and cream cheese. Parent side gets cubed potatoes and Greek yogurt. Pressure cook five minutes. Swiss cheese stirred in at the end.
Athlete at 1.5 cups: 560 calories, 35g protein, 46g carbs, 25g fat.
Double it to 3 cups: 1,120 calories.
Parent plate: 330 calories, 36g protein, 23g carbs, 10g fat.
Made enough for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Both sides.
It doesn't take a lot of time. Just a little organization.

Down watching Pearson play 14 innings straight today. Parents keep asking how do you fuel during travel ball weekends?
Here's exactly what Candice and I brought.
Rice, edamame, cucumbers, carrots, Safe Catch tuna, beef jerky, quinoa snacks, Hydrate. For a younger athlete add chocolate milk after games, trail mix, pretzels, yogurt, bananas, apples, grapes.
But here's the bigger point.
Three hours before the game lean protein and good carbs. Right before the game pretzels and grapes. In between innings fruit, watermelon, more pretzels. After the game chocolate milk, protein.
By age 12 or 13 you're packing that bag for them and explaining why. By 14 or 15 they're packing it themselves. By college like Pearson today they wake up, eat right, pack their own bag, and perform for 14 innings because they've been taught the system.
That's the goal. Not just winning games. Teaching them how to fuel for life.
Send this to a travel ball parent who needs to see it.

Mom's not home yet. You can make this yourself.
Homemade KFC bowl. Gluten-free breaded chicken breast, mashed potatoes, corn cut off the cob, brown gravy. Oven at 400 for 20 minutes or air fryer for 12.
613 calories, 35g protein, 69g carbs, 22g fat.
Add a dinner roll on the side if you need more carbs.
Moms don't feel sorry for them. They can do this on their own.

One of the hottest recipes on the custom meal plans right now.
Nutella stuffed pancakes. Real easy to make.
Kodiak pancake mix, water, quarter cup of Nutella, bananas. Mix the batter, pour it, add Nutella in the center, fold it over.
Per pancake: 295 calories, 13g protein, 47g carbs, 7.5g fat.
Jeremy didn't nail the presentation. He'll be the first to admit it. If you make these and flip them better send a picture. He's waiting.

Your athlete can eat healthy, look fit, and still be underfueled. Here's what I hear every week in nutrition consults.
"My kid is a picky eater." Start with what they will eat. Love chipotle bowls? Great. Don't like avocado? We find another healthy fat. The goal is balanced meals they enjoy with enough food to support their training and growth.
"Our family eats clean." Food quality and food quantity are two different things. Chicken, vegetables, and a little rice might look great on a plate. But is that portion enough for a teenager in school, at practice, lifting, and still growing?
"My kid is solid muscle." Looking lean doesn't tell us if they're getting enough fuel. A six-pack does not automatically mean a teenager is performing better or healthier. When athletes consistently don't eat enough for what their bodies are doing it affects recovery, bone health, hormones, and development. Boys and girls. Every sport.
Start with foods they enjoy. Build balanced meals. Make sure portions match what their body actually demands.
Send this to a parent who needs to hear it.
