In Nov 2021 I was asked to be a featured storyteller in the debuting performance series called Untold Stories at the historic Florida Theatre. I told a story that up till then I hadn’t shared with anyone. Tonight, 1.5 years later, I can share it here. open.spotify.com/episode/1NM…

Unfortunately, didn’t land with me as much as others. It, as much as any indie horror, deserves a shot and to be watched but after the twist it sort of lost me. SPOILERS I felt that, despite admirable effort to stay practical, it felt too rubber monstery to me.

And I wish I could say I was able to get past it as I have some dodgy CGI in other things, but it made it comical to me and that just kept me from connecting with any of the peril the characters were in. Sick original lore though, will say that.

I wanna come back to this in light of Skerritts passing because its a defining moment for me in the franchise and in my love for Skerritt as an actor. He was such an embodiment of a classic stoicism and strength that proverbial rock you lean on, and this severely relatable bit of fear, and vulnerability...man...its not what he says (writer) its how he says it (actor)... that kids is also range
Replying to @Jamellbell
The head back and up indicating exhaustion from fear, then the explicit admission "I wanna get the hell out of here" the cool is OFF

Oliver Reed in Devils is one of the greatest performances of all-time and I won’t be taking questions.

I grew up before authors took their mailing addresses/PO Boxes out of their books and I once sent a letter and drawing to Clive Barker and, to my surprise, received a response which hit in some specifics of what I sent. As a kid that was HUGE

I then played an old Clive game called Undying and it set a bar that hasn’t really been met…until now as I play Hellraiser: Revival and it’s really taking me back to one of my favorite experiences and minds in the business

One way I pick movies is going to see movies that are being underseen (if they’re ones I want to see) You Can See Everything showings were insanely packed. Street Fighter doesn’t need support. So it’s The Devils (for the novelty) and Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother

My dude has a Constantine movie to make, doesn’t he?
A ‘RED RISING’ movie is in the works at Paramount • Francis Lawrence (‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’) set to direct • The story follows a young miner living on Mars who attempts to bring down the color-coded class system (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/movies…)

All I’m saying is I’ve never seen @SilentGarrett and Justin Hawkins in the same room together.

What theeeee fuck, Danny. That’s gross. Not simply that you used AI but that you felt so emboldened as to use it without permission and THENNNNNN get high and mighty about your “art” as if you’re above the practice of decency.
Danny Boyle says he used AI to replace an actor’s face with Margaret Thatcher’s in “Ink” because he didn’t want to “use a Thatcher imitator.” “It was very important to use that we didn’t use a Thatcher imitator,” he said, acknowledging that Thatcher and The Sun editor Lamb’s relationship was well documented. “She used to visit Larry Lamb’s office late at night after the edition had gone out, and they drank whisky together. She’d take her shoes off, curled up on the sofa.” He also admitted that his didn’t ask the Thatcher state beforehand: “I declined the ask the estate for permission to do that. I don’t think the estate of people like Margaret Thatcher should have control over our ability to insist on ideas in art about what her influence was on our lives. So that was really important.” variety.com/2026/film/global…

I really enjoy Mobland, but I think what I appreciate the most is the music.

It’s so apparent I grew up on the TV edit of the first TMNT because it’s both darker and more rich of character than I recall. I always thought Casey was little more than a cameo, but dude is there with them nearly the whole movie.

Oh, bb boy, that’s not why. You just need to watch shows that aren’t on Paramount.

I much prefer the tone of Mobland to The Gentleman, but also wondering if I should give Gentleman (the show) another looksee

Great Faces show by the way. I just love watching Tom Hardy and playing "guess what the fuck hes thinking right now" because it could be anything from "Mmmm Donuts" to "Im going to Murder your family"
Mobland getting brazy
