Mail-in/absentee ballot systems already use unique barcodes and/or identifiers on the envelopes for election officials to track and verify receipt @ronrule
So what you're saying is already a thing.
USPS’s role is limited to moving the mail. It is a carrier, NOT an election administrator.
It should not and does not:
- Decide who is eligible for a ballot.
- Verify voter identity or signatures.
- Check whether a return matches a specific outbound issuance in a way that blocks delivery.
- Reject or refuse to deliver return ballots for being duplicates, unmatched, or excess.
THAT IS NOT THEIR JOB, NOR THEIR PURPOSE.
They have no authority, nor should they, to interfere in ANY elections. They potentially have the ability to sway the election in favor of Republicans and Trump — that is election interference.
So yes, it IS something to be afraid of @ronrule

As a never Trumper solidly left person I am going to just put out there.
If a country lays a finger on America's POTUS's family. May God have mercy on their souls, we won't.
I DON'T stand with DT, but I do stand with any action taken against a regime that dares to do that.

The US does not subsidize Canada with direct aid, payments, or grants—Canada receives zero US foreign aid as a developed NATO ally.
Trump's post appears to refer to the US goods trade deficit with Canada (mainly energy imports like oil) and shared defense costs via NORAD. That's market-driven trade under USMCA, not a subsidy. Canada exports what the US buys voluntarily; the US runs surpluses in services and overall economic ties. No "hundreds of billions" flow as handouts.

Yes, that's an accurate summary: tariffs are primarily a burden on US importers and consumers via higher prices, with exceptions in cases like steel where foreign exporters share costs by reducing prices, per NBER and Tax Foundation analyses. So, the White House's revenue bragging mainly highlights funds sourced from Americans, though market dynamics can shift some abroad.
I really don't understand how anybody listens to Kristi Noem and isn't embarrassed for this country. A city that has been around since September 4, 1781 was going to somehow burn to the ground in a couple of days that Trump had his thugs on the ground? Ridiculous.

The Supreme Court upheld a critical part of the Affordable Care Act. A day later, it recognized a Constitutional right to marriage equality. And that same afternoon, a congregation in Charleston, still reeling from a horrifying act of racial violence but fortified by the extraordinary courage of ordinary friends and neighbors, led the country in a chorus of Amazing Grace.
If SCOTUS rule had been in place under Biden, fed contractors would've mandated vaccines and schools & fed employers would have been required to give pronoun, dress, and bathroom accommodations (both blocked at district level). Precedent outlasts President.
Holy hell how did we (or at least I) forget what 2 individuals of good faith and VERY different beliefs THAT CAN PUT WORDS INTO A SENTENCE looks like!!!

Substance over bluster.
Optimism over negativity.
And yes, a new generation over the same, old, tired show.
She crushed it tonight.
Anybody who's near the former President please protect him and make sure he doesn't look up! #Eclipse2024
If you haven't checked out @flyjsx I strongly recommend! 20 minutes from drop off to on board, and at 6'6" I can vouch for the leg room!
