If I do end up using this it will probably be as a boring worky account. Nevertheless it now exists. And who knows I may get bored or annoyed and become interesting

I dunno. While "no designated specialist" might have done ok in Toulon they were crap for us.

Clouseau is no longer fucking around
Neither Cartier-Bresson, Banksy nor Cold War Steve could have come up with such an image. Absolutely perfect composition and lighting (even the road signs are perfect)! 😍

Watching the Lego Ninjango movie and - Jackie Chan made some poor investments huh? - theres this bit where they loop 9 Wilhelm screams in swift succession and it sounds totally insane

Latvia kinda suprise no?
Come on Britain. Do better. Those are rookie numbers

I was there. Kenny logan missed 5 kicks at goal and we drew a game we should have won by 3 scores. I remember thinking it had to be the most inept Scotland performance I'd ever seen. Instead it was the last time we showed attacking flair for 12 years
Been thinking about this one lately… 💭

Looking forward to learning the six laws that all historical processes obey

Thats not internal data thats just basic maths. 46-16 = 30, 10+16=26. This is just a restatement of the task before the campaign started
Internal Green data seen by HuffPost UK shows the party believes that if it persuades 30% of 2024 Labour voters to switch to them, Polanski will be just 4 points behind. "This is on a knife edge" huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/l…

Tbh it dramatically overstates the challenge. Assuming the Greens get most Feinstein voters they only need to switch something like a fifth of Lab voters

They are merely exchanging long protein strings

This is basically just a guess
🗳️ Holborn and St Pancras projected result: 🔴 LAB: 39% (-10) 🟢 GRN: 32% (+22) 🔵 CON: 10% (+3) ➡️ REF: 9% (+3) 🟠 LIB: 7% (+1) ⚪️ OTH: 3% (-18) Labour HOLD (16% swing to Green) +/- vs GE2024

15 years ago before I started doing Spanish Civil War tours I first did a test run with a friend. As we walked down La Rambla talking about revolutionary Barcelona who should we bump into but renowned Korean anarchosyndicalist 😉 PSY then riding high with Gangnam style.

I always understood beyond reasonable doubt to be way higher. Like 99.99999999% (more than 1 in 10 billion, less than that and its probably happened by random chance to ar least someone)
When it comes to certainty: •Civil Lawsuit: Preponderance of evidence—50.1% sure •Criminal charge : Beyond a reasonable doubt—90-99% sure •Consent: Zero doubt. 100% sure. No exceptions. None. Zip. Zilch. Anyone claiming otherwise is telling you who they are. Believe them. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Thought Silver Linings Playbook was awful apart from the interesting sound design: the voices were so low in the mix you're straining to hear but then sound effects are startlingly loud. Explained this to a sound engineer friend who told me my headphones weren't all the way in
Does anyone have any more examples

This is getting rightly mocked but what it inadvertently reveals is how inconceiveable it was that any of those mid to late books might receive any kind of editing
you know, “Cho Chang” etc gets a lot easier to understand when you remember Rowling was writing in the NINETIES in SCOTLAND. There was no internet to look this kind of thing up and no Koreans or Chinese to personally ask. People really do not remember pre-internet life

Im out of the loop now but AFAIK this is broadly right with the nuance that the nadir of 2015 burned off most of the ex SDP, centrist careerists and socially liberal tories, leaving behind mostly the oldschool big L Liberals who had nowhere else to go
(1)The reason the LibDem's make little impact is they are (as a LibDem MP told me) "more Clegg-ite than when Clegg was leader" -an "Orange Book", "Neoliberal" low tax deregulation party who want to attack Labour from the right (!) on economics....

Which in the UK is a radical rural tradition which within its own limitations is surprisingly leftie. But also incredibly disparate and disorganised so even at that moment they were kept well away from power (much as how the massive left wing influx in the 00s were)
