They didn’t raid a cartel. They raided a radio host who spent a decade putting Bitcoin in ordinary people’s hands. Bonnie Freeman tells the part the headlines buried. #FreeIanFreeman #PrivacyIsNotACrime #Bitcoin
Radio host Ian Freeman’s mission was to get Bitcoin into more people’s hands. Then federal agents raided his home. Now he’s serving an 8-year prison sentence. I sat down with his wife, Bonnie Freeman @FTL_Bonnie, to tell the story behind the headlines and ask how one of Bitcoin’s earliest advocates ended up behind bars. The @FTL_Ian story deserves a closer look.

Ian Freeman, a peaceful man, a broadcaster, a relentless advocate for human freedom. Years of his life have been swallowed by a prison cell. A system that can grind a peaceful human being through raids, prosecution, concrete, steel, and years of separation, deserves nothing but utter contempt. Enough. Give Ian his life back. Many of you have asked why my name isn't on the ballot. I stayed off because I was promised action. That promise wasn't kept. 1/ My campaign was about holding Republicans accountable for their promises, not getting myself a seat in Washington. From the outset, my position was simple: meet my demands before the election and I would withdraw. Otherwise, I would use my candidacy to help impose electoral consequences. A promise means nothing if breaking it costs nothing. 2/ I won a preliminary injunction in federal court requiring the state to accept my declaration of candidacy. I had more than enough certified signatures. I went to the Secretary of State intending to file. Then I was promised imminent action on one or more of my demands if I stayed off the ballot. I didn't file. The promised action never came. I was lied to. Who made that promise will become clear in the fullness of time. 3/ Near the end of filing, I learned that Ed Laplante of the Constitution Party had qualified for the U.S. Senate ballot in New Hampshire. That mattered because this was never about whether the name on the ballot was Aaron Day. It was about whether voters had a way to make broken promises cost the people who made them. 4/ This isn't a strategy I discovered this year. In 2016, I didn't just run against Kelly Ayotte. I initiated the recruitment of the other TWO third-party congressional candidates, and we pursued ballot access together. Three federal races. Three third-party candidacies. Republicans lost all three. 5/ In my Senate race, I received 17,742 votes. The winning margin was 1,017. The third-party vote also exceeded the winning margin in both House races. That doesn't prove how every voter would have voted without us. It does show that candidates dismissed as irrelevant commanded more votes than separated the winners from the losers. The result was an entirely Democratic New Hampshire congressional delegation. 6/ My wife, Eileen @EileenDay1098 , and I have founded StarkFreedom, building on the work I began with Stark360 in 2014. We're taking this strategy into four swing-state Senate races. Our goal is to cost Republicans control of the Senate by supporting third-party candidates and campaigning against the Republican in each race. Not because Democrats deserve our loyalty. Because Republicans hold power, and keeping it should depend on keeping their promises. 7/ StarkFreedom endorses Ed Laplante for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire and opposes John E. Sununu. I'm asking everyone who supported my candidacy to support Ed. Rasmussen's September 8–10 survey put me at 4% and Ed at 2%. Those aren't votes I can simply hand over. But I believe Ed can exceed 5%, and I'm going to work to help him do it. 8/ We are organizing to deploy up to $2.5 million in independent expenditures across these four races. Our research, polling, legal drafting and content are produced in-house with AI. I used AI tools to help win that preliminary injunction without a lawyer. Now we're applying those capabilities, alongside my experience operating a political committee, to four Senate races. 9/ The accountability ledger isn't complicated: the price of gas, new wars in the Middle East, the continuing war on crypto, and a swamp that was supposed to be drained, with Howard Lutnick still in it. These are the issues Republicans asked voters to trust them on. They don't get to replace that accounting with another lecture about how much worse the Democrats are. If your only argument is that the other party is worse, you haven't explained why you deserve to keep power. 10/ New Hampshire is our first race. I'll announce the other three candidates and states on The Aaron Day Show this Thursday, September 24, at 6 p.m. My name isn't on the ballot. The consequences of breaking promises still can be. If the administration won't respond to the promises it made, will it respond to losing the Senate?

Long before the raids, the courtroom, and the prison walls, Ian Freeman and Mark Edge were already doing what they would spend decades doing together, questioning authority and putting liberty on the air. Years later, one of these men is still sitting in a federal cage. Bring Ian home. FREE IAN FREEMAN. freeiannow.org

Ian Sold Bitcoin for cash. Money laundering charges dropped. 96 months anyway. You freed Ross. Now free Ian. Tag @realDonaldTrump freeiannow.org/ #FreeIanFreeman
I just released a music video for my friend Ian Freeman. Free Talk Live is why I moved to New Hampshire fourteen years ago. Ian taught @rogerkver about Bitcoin. Roger taught me. Ian is the reason I'm in this fight at all, and he's brought more freedom seekers into it than anyone else alive. In October 2023 I sat in that Concord courtroom and watched a judge hand my friend 96 months in federal prison. Not for stealing from anyone. He sold people Bitcoin for cash, through ATMs and in person. The judge even threw out the money laundering count for insufficient evidence and sentenced him anyway. Last February the Supreme Court declined to hear his appeal. Every legal door is now closed. Clemency is the only road left, and he is spending his time in there teaching other inmates their GED. Mr. President, you freed Ross Ulbricht on your first day in office because you gave your word at the Libertarian convention and you kept it. Ian is the same fight. Watch the video below. Share it with someone who has never heard his name. Tag @realDonaldTrump. Say Ian Freeman. You freed one. Now free them all.

The president can command the attention of a nation. The harder act is spending political power to return liberty to one individual. Ian Freeman has spent years in a federal cage. His freedom requires a signature. Mr. President, use the pen. Pardon Ian Freeman. freeiannow.org

Press conference. Wednesday, September 2, 1PM. New Hampshire Secretary of State's office, Concord. I am hand-delivering 3,738 certified signatures. New Hampshire required 3,000. At 5PM the filing is final. No withdrawal under New Hampshire law. Not by the state. Not by me. I outworked the New Hampshire Attorney General's office with one laptop. A federal magistrate just recommended they put me on. Free the crypto prisoners. Kill the CLARITY Act. Fire Lutnick. End the draft. Be there when I walk in.

Winning in court is only step one. Enemies of the State co-host @AaronRDay just beat the NH Attorney General’s office in federal court — no lawyers, no law firm, just him and AI. He’s taking the fight straight to the regime, demanding absolute freedom for people building technology that protects personal sovereignty and voluntary trade. 📺 Tune in to The Aaron Day Show tonight at 8 PM ET for the full story. #FreeTheCryptoPrisoners #EnemiesOfTheState 👇
I just beat the NH Attorney General's office in federal court. No lawyers. No law firm. I represented myself, and my legal team was AI. The federal magistrate judge recommended granting my preliminary injunction: the Secretary of State should be ordered to accept my Declaration of Intent and put me on the US Senate ballot. Their office had every resource of the State. I had a laptop. The State gets 7 days to object. Bring it. Full story tonight, 8 PM ET, on The Aaron Day Show.

Looks like @AaronRDay could make it onto the N.H. ballot as an independent candidate for US Senate after all. A magistrate just recommended that the federal court issue a preliminary injunction in Day's favor. storage.courtlistener.com/re…

Hide the man behind an abstraction, then insist the abstraction is reality. Behind every case number is an individual. Behind every "financial crime" is a question worth asking about consent, coercion, and who actually had a victim. Make the man visible again. Free Ian Freeman.
