New at #GitHubUniverse: Copilot Fusion, selectable as your "model" in Copilot.
Instead of you picking a model, it looks at what a task needs and runs it across models from all providers, including Anthropic and OpenAI. Aiming for a good result, fast, and at the right cost.
Just on stage at #GitHubUniverse: 220 million merged pull requests a month. Plus 7.38 billion commits and 30.3 million new repos, every month.
Code keeps getting easier to write. That makes the hard part even more important: knowing what to build.

Hanging with @Frenck at #GitHubUniverse getting ready for the keynote!
Today's the day! At 2:10 PM I'm on the Ship & Tell stage at #GitHubUniverse: "Code is the easy part: Building Home Assistant in the open".
For 15 minutes, the room gets to be the Home Assistant team and vote on real decisions we made.
At Universe? Come say hi!
Got a surprise from the @github Universe Creator Team. A 65% mechanical keyboard kit.
No idea what's in that black box yet. #GitHubUniverse

Walked into GitHub HQ and the big wall shows today's top trending Python developers.
Number one: @basnijholt with Adaptive Lighting, a custom integration for @home_assistant.
Our community, up on the wall at @github. Made my day 🥰

We sold out in-person tickets this year, but hoping you can still show me what you got.
I’ve got a few extra customizable GitHub keyboards that we’ll ship to three people who can build a wild custom canvas that makes their workday better in the GitHub Copilot app. May the odds be ever in your favor. 😄

Preparing the Home Assistant 2026.11 beta right now and... wow.
4,858 merged pull requests. Every record we've ever set for a release is gone, by about a thousand PRs.
Big new features, tons of fixes, and an insane amount of quality improvements. I'm not even kidding.
Graag even aanmelden, link in de reactie 👇

Started to contribute to @home_assistant two weeks ago. What a refreshing community. Already made one friend (I hope) and the people over there so far are being super nice and friendly. Amazing culture @Frenck and folks created over there. ✨

🏠 Code is the easy part: Building Home Assistant in the open
Looking forward to hearing @Frenck from @home_assistant on the work beyond code: governance, community, and building in public.
There’s so much maintainer work that never shows up in a review or commit.

New in Claude Code: your sessions can now message each other.
Instead of having to re-explain yourself in another session, you can now tell Claude to do it. It sends a summary (not your history or files), and the other session picks it up mid-task.
