Update: I am pleased to announce that the meeting will go ahead as planned. A risk assessment relating to NHS guidance on public meetings is showing that it’s safe to go ahead, assuming that individuals will follow the guidance on hand washing, coughs and sneezes etc.

Continuing our series of early pics of Haigh Hall, here’s one of the current Hall dated 1832, with the observatory on the hill. There appears to be a lake where the golf course is today. Love the smoke rising from the chimneys. Thanks Ron Hunt for sharing.@WiganCouncil #localhub

A truly professional hotelier then! When does a hotel not need business? When it’s Haigh Hall Hotel apparently.
