Excited to be continuing our partnership with @UptimeWater on results-based funding for #ruralwater services in #Kenya to secure #reliability! More on this: xitter.cf/UptimeWater/status/162…

Keeping water flowing safely to communities isn’t one big action—it’s the small, consistent ones. From fixing breakdowns, testing water quality and routine monitoring—every step ensures water is not just flowing, but safe. Behind every working system is a team making it happen

Clear water is not always safe water. 👩🏽‍🔬 Meet Mary Sammy, our Lead Water Quality Officer. In our lab, she’s conducting microbial tests on samples from our schemes—testing for coliform and E. coli. At FundiFix, water quality is integral to our mission.

Where water flows, equality grows. If water systems don’t work reliably, the burden shifts—often onto women and girls. Reliable service delivery is what makes the difference. That’s why systems must work—every day. #WorldWaterDay2026 #WhereWaterFlows #GenderEquality #WASH

Leveraging the private sector for rural water reliability! Honored to be featured at yesterday’s K-WASH Mission held in Nairobi. Kitui County showcased #FundiFix as a model for private sector participation to professionalize O&M and guarantee reliable rural water services.

Last week, the FundiFix team carried out repair and maintenance across multiple schemes in Kwale and Kitui counties. Activities: handpump repairs (pump rods & U-seals), piped scheme (pumping systems, pipeline leakages, servicing and replacing meters), and painting storage tanks.

At FundiFix, each transition is grounded in formal community engagement, agreements, and clear operational accountability. As our management network expands, systems like Kwa Mumbanu and Kimela in Kitui County have formally transitioned — strengthening long-term reliability

During routine water quality monitoring at the Makuvuni and Ngomola Mughi handpumps in Kitui County, @FundiFix detected E. coli → triggered shock chlorination → verified disinfection through Free Residual Chlorine testing → 72-hour retest confirmed zero contamination.

💧 Rural water safety moves fastest when monitoring, responsibility & response are decentralized — but governed. At #AfWASA2026 in Yaoundé, @FundiFix shared how routine monitoring + sanitary inspections drive real action for safer rural water. #FundiFix #WaterSafety #SDG6
