76,846 handwritten result sheets are uploaded after every Nigerian election.
but let's be honest, how many people actually go through them?
i decided to build something that does.
it's called recount.
it uses @Meta muse spark to read every result sheet, check the figures against the numbers written in words, and flag anything that doesn't add up.
and it doesn't just flag issues blindly. when something looks off, muse spark takes another look to avoid mistakes caused by smudges or poor handwriting.
you can even upload a result sheet someone forwards to you on whatsapp, and recount will compare it with INEC's original.
i tested it against the osun election results, and the total came within 0.11% of INEC's declared figure.
the bigger idea is simple: make it harder to manipulate election results without anyone noticing. when every result sheet can be independently checked, there's less room for discrepancies to go unnoticed.
recount isn't here to declare winners. it's here to help protect the integrity of the process by making sure every sheet gets read and accounted for before 16 january 2027.

Today, I defended my final year project. 🎓📊
And honestly, it feels surreal.
After years of Mathematics, Statistics, Probability, Numerical Analysis, Actuarial Statistics, and countless other courses, I finally stood before my lecturers and defended the work that represents years of learning and growth.
There were moments I questioned myself. Moments when the workload felt overwhelming. Moments when I wondered how I would get to this point.
But somehow, one semester, one exam, one assignment, and one challenge at a time, I made it here.
Actuarial Science has been more than just numbers and calculations. It has taught me how to think, analyse uncertainty, understand risk, and approach problems with a different perspective.
Today marks the end of an era.
An era of lectures, exams, deadlines, sleepless nights, friendships, challenges, mistakes, growth, and becoming.
But every ending is also a beginning.
A new era begins. 🚀
I’m grateful to God for the grace, strength, wisdom, and people who made this journey possible.
From surviving Mathematics to Probability, from Statistics to Actuarial Science, and now to defending my final year project…
What a journey.
One chapter closed.
A new one begins.
